Avocado Hummus

Avocado Hummus – hummus is such a great snack and when you fill it with avocado it is not only healthy it tastes amazing!

Hummus is a favorite snack at our house.  My husband and son will go through containers of hummus in no time.  And they love trying all the different flavors.

Usually I am more of a homemade guacamole girl when it comes to snacking.  So I decided to kind of combine the two to make an avocado hummus that is absolutely delicious!

Avocados are one of my favorite ingredients.  It really doesn’t matter what it is, avocado probably goes with it.  If it is on a burger at a restaurant, that is probably what I will order.  I don’t make a BLT without adding slices of avocado to it.  And these Avocado Chicken Bites might be my go to appetizer idea.

There is just something about avocado; their buttery goodness that I love.  So it was the perfect thing to add to hummus.  And you know what, it tastes just like guacamole!

How to Make Hummus

Hummus is super easy to work, you just need a food processor to do the work.  You dump all the ingredients into a food processor and then process until smooth.  Could not be easier.  Store in an air tight container for up to a week in the fridge.

Homemade hummus is so much better than store bought because you can flavor it how you want.  It is easy to adjust the salt, add a little heat or more garlic if that is your think.  So try this avocado hummus recipe today and rethink how you snack!

Hi, just made this avocado hummus, and I found it to Salty, plus too much lemon juice. Don't know what I can do to take away the saltiness. I even added a extra avocado. Don't think I would make this again.
