Kraft just made it a little easier for Mom’s to be picky, and for kids to still get what they want. They have come out with a new juice pouch that is actually healthy! Capri Sun Super V has 1 combined serving of fruits/veggies per pouch. It has 3 grams of fiber, and lots of vitamins and minerals. Finally, a juice pouch I can let my son drink! You can see all the stats and great information on their website.
Capri Sun Super V comes in 3 flavors: Apple, Berry, and Fruit Punch. My son’s favorite is the fruit punch. He has no idea it has veggies in it, and is secretly good for him. He just thinks he is cool because Mom is letting him have a juice box. I just had to try one of these as well, and you would NEVER know they are good for you. They taste just like other drinks I have bought in the past.
We are going on a picnic with friends this week, and I know we will be packing these juice pouches. Figuring out the rest of a fun and healthy lunch is now the trick My son loves ham, so I can always make him a ham sandwich on whole grain bread. During the school year I make him a ham sandwich with black olives on a whole wheat hotdog bun. It reminds him of Subway, so he requests it almost every day. We are trying to avoid chips as much as possible. This was a change we made part way through the school year. Graham crackers are a healthier alternative that still gives him the crunchy snack that he likes so much.
Capri SunSuper V would also be a great drink for snack time. Popcorn (without all the butter) is really good for you. A single serve bag of 94% fat free popcorn and a juice pouch, and my 7 year old will think he hit the jackpot for snack time! Now if only I could get him to think carrot sticks was a good snack.

I was compensated for my time in conducting this review, but the opinions are my own.

By attempting to be creative with food! Ants on a log for celery, cut out fruit in fun shapes, bananas with some pb as a dessert, etc:)
I make blueberry, banana and spinach smoothies then freeze them in Popsicle molds and she can’t get enough of them. My daughter thinks she is eating a Popsicle but she really is eating something that is really good for her. I am also going to try this with kale and see how it comes out!!
You sneaky mom, you! I’ll have to look into these pouches. Dudette’s only allowed juice in her school lunch box so this would be good for that. As far as what I do to get her to eat her veggies; if it’s any kind of tomato sauce, I include carrots and puree them in so she doesn’t even know they’re there. Unfortunately, carrots are the one vegetable that she just won’t eat cooked so I have to hide them like that.
Smoothies or plain yogurt topped with fresh fruit slices and a drizzle of honey are great ways to incorporate more fruit. As for veggies, baby carrots with hummus/salsa or cherry tomatoes with a side of ranch dressing make great snacks!
I don’t have children, but if I did I’d use my blender. A lot. I think everything tastes better when it’s cold, and purred, and blended with yoghurt & honey.
Just Tweeted about the giveaway.
I sneak grated carrots into muffins…somehow that’s more acceptable than boiled carrot coins on a plate
I serve the veggies while I’m making the rest of dinner. My toddler is usually hungry so he eats them without hesitation!
Love the new Capri Sun pouches. We also love V8 Fusion! Been drinking it with breakfast and then with afternoon snack or anytime they want something other than water. We eat salsa almost daily, they have no idea the veggies I put in there; tomatoes, black beans and corn mostly.
I shred veggies and add them to anything i can (smoothies, meatballs, casseroles, muffins) or I add it to some fruit or applesauce and freeze it in a popsicle!
I tell myself every kid has his/her picky eater days. Although we are vegetarian so most of our meals are veggies and fruit, there are times when she makes faces, but I have my juicer handy and she never refused a glass of juice, may it be broccoli and spinach
I keep it simple. I set a bowl of fresh, washed fruit and sometime vegetables on the kitchen table for snacking. The kids know fruit is always available when they are hungry. Plus, there is always a green or orange vegetable served with the meal and a fruit for desert.
My little one is just 4 months old so she isn’t on solids just yet, but will be in the next few weeks. It’s all about flavor combos hopefully – apples with prunes, roasting squash before pureeing, etc. Hah I do have a husband though and boy oh boy is it difficult to get him to eat veggies and fruits! That’s why I’ve started cutting up a piece of fruit for myself after dinner while we watch PBS so I can sneak him slices. For veggies, I add a little bit to everything, especially curries. Cauliflower will break down real nice and smooth in an Indian chicken curry and he won’t even know he’s eating it!
Luckily my kids are used to see veggies on the plate, but I had started early when they were small. I always wondered how Vegetarian mom feed kids vegetables… and they told me just don’t give up. Haha. I started including them with small pieces that they won’t find, let them get used to the flavor first. Then the sizes of veggies just get bigger… My kids love fruits so that wasn’t issue, but always “green” veggies are tough one. I was so happy when my kids started to eat salad, leafy veggie. So easy, just wash and serve.
Great giveaway!

You know I have a picky eater about your son’s age. I need to find these Capri Sun pouches and give a a try with him!! Any way I can get him to eat some extra fruits and veggies without begging him to do so would be a win in my book.
The kids have no idea that they have been eating spinach in their chicken soup for years. I add it along with parsley and when they ask what the green stuff is I say parsley. Well… It is… Just not all of it.
They like the taste of it, etc. but if they knew it was in there, then they’d refuse to eat it. My oldest has gotten wiser and I have told her that there are a lot of things (meaning veggies) that you’ve eaten over the years and not known it. They are strictly corn, green beans, peas and potato kids otherwise.
I have a picky husband…does that count? LOL. I like that fruit juice companies are doing their best to add more vitamins and minerals in to kids diets. Looks tasty!
My daughter love yogurt so I have been buying the Greek yogurt with fruit in it! She loves it! I have a little garden and I let her help me in it. She is so excited to help and loves to try all of the things that she has planted. We have mostly veggies, but we do have apple trees in the yard and she loves to pick the apples and dip them in caramel!
Husbands count as picky kid eaters
I sneak the veggies in and tell him about it later
I want these pouches for myself! I love dicing veggies up real small (or even grating them) and sauteeing with ground meats (usually turkey) that fold into casseroles. I also add spinach to everything from smoothies to pasta. Typically, I’ve found hiding is the best approach. No one knows it’s there!
My kids have no problem eating fruits, however, I do like making smoothies for them and they sure enjoy drinking them. Vegetables are another story. We eat a lot of them and my 7-year-old does eat them if I strongly suggest he eats them or he won’t get other food he likes to eat. My 5-year-old doesn’t care about it so I puree and hide it in his food as much as I can. I also try to put them in smoothies since he doesn’t mind green smoothies as long as it tastes good.
My go to way to throw in extra fruit and veggies into my diet is in smoothies. I try to get in one a day. I always had the worst time with the tiny straws growing up. I would ruin my Capri Sun pouches by stabbing all the way through the pouches.
I have an awesome turkey burger recipe that I blend up zucchini and red pepper in addition to black beans and they are delicious. Nobody knows they are packed full of veggies! (not to mention protien) Plus they freeze well so they are perfect for the nights you have no time to cook!!

Hi Erin! long time no type!
I have seen those pouches but just hadn’t gotten around to trying them yet. Now I know I need to.
How do I get veggies and fruits in? I think I’ve been lucky with my kids because I have never really had a problem with it. I love veggies… AND fruit… so they have grown up knowing it will be served. There are times I incorporate it into sauces and such but usually it’s not an issue.

Homemade Dip is fun to make and makes it fun to eat veggies!
After a day of work, I can usually manage an entree. Side dishes are another story. I often just slice up fresh fruit for a side. It is eaten happily.

Every week I buy a vegetable tray for my boys to snack on. In addition, we drink a lot of green smoothies.
I have no problem with my daughter eating her vegetables. Her fruit has to be mixed in something. So she loves blueberry muffins and banana nut muffins, so I put in the mix in like shredded zucchini or applesauce.
My kids are pretty good about eating fruits and veggies. I still have to find new ways and new recipes to help. Frozen berries mixed with some steel cut oatmeal with a bit of honey or Brown sugar. Fresh fruit cut up and mixed with yogurt. Eggs with spinach or shredded zucchini, or roasted asparagus. Cottage cheese with peaches or pineapples. Fruit smoothies… The list goes on!
Ana loves fruit…she eats about 5 servings/day…veggies are a different story. I hide the veggies in creamy soups, mac ‘n cheese bake, and in muffins.
It has always been super important to me that my children get the fruits and veggies that they need to stay healthy. I am super excited to learn about this juice! What I have been doing to ensure my sweet babies get the fruits and veggies that they need has been to make green smoothies. I put strawberries, blueberries, bananas, spinach and carrots in the blender with some water, liquefy it and they drink it RIGHT up!! I hide lots of veggies in the meals I cook as well
Our kids are usually pretty good about eating “the good for you stuff” before they get “the good tasting stuff”.
