Chocolate and Peanut Butter Krispie Treats

Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats – Dense almost fudgy rice krispie treats loaded with plenty of chocolate and peanut butter! Super simple and easy no bake treat!

Rice krispie treats with gooey marshmallows are a classic treat that everyone knows and loves. These are something entirely different, yet kind of the same. No marshmallows or butter are used, so they are dense and almost fudgy. They are a totally different spin on rice krispie treats that will have you 2nd guessing everything!

You can mix it up with different flavors too! These Butterscotch Rice Krispie Treats are similar and so darn addicting!

How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Krispie Treats

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.

  1. Start by melting the peanut butter and chocolate chips together until it is nice and smooth. I add them to a microwave safe bowl and heat for 60 seconds. Then stir until smooth.
  2. Pour over cereal, and mix until everything is well coated.
  3. Spread the cereal mixture into your prepared pan and press into an even layer.
  4. Drizzle with melted white chocolate, if desired and then let them set up before serving.

Storage

Store these in an airtight container for 4-5 days. They can be stored at room temperature, but will last 1-2 days longer if you place in the fridge. If your house is warm, you may want to store in the fridge or they will be a little melty and make more of a mess.

What Kind Of Chocolate

I used semi-sweet chocolate chips for this recipe. But if you like dark chocolate, you can definitely use that. You just need 12 ounces of chocolate that you melt. There is no added sugar to this recipe, so just keep that in mind when you choose your chocolate. You don’t want to use unsweetened or something bitter if that is not your favorite kind of chocolate.

I am sorry the site took down the recipe! It is the same as this, just use semi-sweet chocolate chips in place of the butterscotch. I will get this post updated with the recipe shortly. Enjoy! https://dinnersdishesanddesserts.com/peanut-butter-butterscotch-krispie-treats/
