Welcome to the Colorado Wildfires Bake Sale!! I appreciate all of you stopping by today. All of the proceeds will go to Colorado Disaster Relief Fund c/0 Red Cross to help with fire victims.
Colorado has suffered from more than one very destructive fire so far this summer. The High Park Fire that started on June 9th has destroyed 257 homes, and burned more than 87,000 acres. It is now fully contained (that does not mean it has actually stopped burning). On June 23rd, The Waldo Canyon Fire started. It has destroyed approximately 350 homes, and burned over 18,000 acres. The Waldo Canyon Fire is now 98 % contained. Together these fires have cost over $50 million dollars to fight, and the work is not done.
The auction is now CLOSED!!!
If you would still like to donate to the Red Cross, and be part of the raffle you can click here. I will include it in the one check I give to them. Thanks!

Erin,
I’m in Colorado (Greenwood Village; south of Denver metro) and it’s great to see bloggers from all over the country participate in this event…but I had not heard of it. Would you like some more help? I run a local food blogger meetup group and would be happy to get the word out if you would like me to try and get some more donations.

Erin, this is awesome! I’ll be on my computer July 8!
My dad lives in southern Colorado around La Veta Pass. It is a beautiful spot but prone to wild fires. A couple of years ago, he moved everything out of his house and put it in storage in Pueblo because they were told to evacuate. Luckily, the house was not damaged at all. But, as fire season starts up again, I worry. (I wished him a Happy Fourth yesterday and he said they were getting regular afternoon rains! That is good news and those rains should keep the fires at bay.) Would love to participate! What a worthy cause.
So honored to be a part of this awesome fundraiser! Love what you’re doing, Erin!! Let’s raise some money!!!!!!

This looks amazing Erin! So happy to be part of it!!
I can’t wait to bid! Just need to decide on what
Can you please tell me how these things will ship? Some seem easily perishable. Awesome if you to put this together. I love Colorado.
Everything is shipped by the individual blogger, so I can’t guarantee how they will ship. I know I make sure to do 2 day priority mail, freeze, and include an ice pack. But I don’t know if that is what everyone does. Thanks for your support!
This looks like an amazing bake sale Erin! I am so sorry I wasn’t able to participate. I will definitely be a bidder though
So many delicious goodies!! Best of luck with the bake sale!
Such a great thing that you’re doing, Erin! Thank you for doing this. Everything looks absolutely amazing, this is going to be a HUGE success! Best of luck, I’ll definitely be bidding to help out the cause and let others know about this as well.

I can’t tell how much this has touched my heart! Thank you does not even come close to how grateful I am that so many of my favorite bloggers have donated! May you all be Blessed in return!
Okay, after days of debating I think I’ve decided what I’m going after. And I’m going to fight for it!

This is a great idea. I bid on events like this and get the goodies sent to my grandchildren. No way a batch of cookies would make it from Australia to Georgia.
Good luck with the effort!

Thanks for your support!
Thanks so much for organizing Erin, everything looks so yummy!
WOW – what an amazing bake sale! i’m still so sad that i couldn’t help out, but it looks like you’ve got a ton of fantastic bloggers + awesome snacks featured. such a worthy cause.
Thank you so much for putting this together!
What a great fundraiser!!!!
Erin, thank you and all those involved with this bake sale for all your efforts in putting this together for those affected by the recent series of wildfires here in Colorado. It really has been a rough couple of weeks for us here in Colorado Springs, some have lost so much, others are still reeling from the experience of facing a firestorm. We have been back home for a week now, yet there are still boxes to unpack and weather to watch in preparation for potential flash flooding. We are grateful for all that was spared and grieved for those that lost their homes–recovery will be a long process, we are thankful to live in such a strong community.
Thank you, again, for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
God Bless everyone for doing this! Praying for everyone affected by the wildfires. Wishing everyone happy bidding!
Annamaria
This is Wendy from the American Red Cross. Thank you so much! What a neat project.
What an awesome project & what an amazing food community you all are! I’m sorry I just saw this now. Am I too late to bid? Oh my. Anyway, best of luck to all of you. I will try to help RT and spread the word! Cheers to all!
Thank you so much! This was so much fun! I’m so excited. Do you contact us (or the baker) and tell us who to send the money to? Also, when are you drawing for the raffle prizes?
Thanks!!! What an amazing cause and you have done a fantastic job! Thank you for making a difference!
CLOSED!? It’s only 2pm on the left coast! So sorry I missed this terrific idea. Maybe you should organize another? Well done bloggers.
Sorry!! It started yesterday (Sunday morning), and went through this morning.
Just a suggestion, perhaps some of the items that seemed to have the most bidding going on should be put up again with a fixed price for as many orders as they can take, then you could raise even more money and also, people who lost out on something they might have really wanted would have a chance to purchase it. I for one, would have loved to win the Nutella brownies but got outbid at the last few minutes. If she was willing to make and sell 5 or 10 more batches at a fixed price, I just might buy one (as long as the price was reasonable). Just a thought for next time if there is a next time.
That is a great idea!! Maybe I will see what I can put together tonight. I will email a couple people, see if they would be willing to make another batch or 2 to put up for sale.
Thanks for the idea!
