Fudgy Nutella Brownies

Nutella Brownies – an absolute chocolate lover’s dream! Homemade brownies filled with 3 kinds of chocolate for an absolutely delicious treat!

If you have been here before you know full well that brownies are my all time favorite dessert.  I grew up making the same homemade brownie recipe almost every weekend.  Another favorite?  Nutella.  Seriously the stuff is down right addicting.  You can even make your own Homemade Nutella with just a few simple ingredients.

If you love Nutella as much as I do, you are going to love these Nutella brownies.  These are a full on homemade brownie recipe that is beyond fudgy and delicious.  I have made Nutella brownie cups before as well that are just 4 ingredients.  Those are tasty, but not quite the same as a fudgy brownie.

These fudgy Nutella brownies really are the epitome of fudgy.  The flavor of the Nutella really comes through, which is not always the case. If you like chocolate, even a little bit, you have to try these.  They are pretty much the perfection of a chocolate lovers brownie.

This Nutella brownie recipe is easy to make, with no mixer needed.  Just get out a couple bowls and you are good!  There are 3 kinds of chocolate in these brownies, so you know they are going to be over the top good.

How To Make Nutella Brownies

  1. Melt butter, and allow to cool slightly. Just a minute or two is all you need.
  2. In a bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl combine the butter with sugar and brown sugar.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. You can do this with a spatula or whisk, no need to use a stand or an electric mixer.   Mix in vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture, being careful not to over mix.
  6. Microwave Nutella for 20-30 seconds, until it is slightly runny.
  7. Add Nutella and chocolate chips to batter, stirring to combine.
  8. Pour into prepared baking pan and bake until a tester comes out mostly clean.

Recipe Tips

  • As with any brownie, you really do not want to over bake them. Check them early and as soon as the edges are cracked, and a tester is mostly clean they are done. You don’t want gooey batter on your tooth pick, but you want some crumbs. If it is dry, they are already over done. And remember, when you take them out of the oven they will continue to cook some, so under done is better than over.
  • The other biggest thing with brownies is not over mixing. The more you mix once the flour is added the tougher the brownies will be. So mix until the flour is barely combined, then stir in the Nutella.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
  • If you are adding the powdered sugar, you want to do that once the brownies are completely cooled or it will just melt into the brownies.

Nutella is a big treat in our house. I love it on toast, in a sandwich or, honestly, just off the spoon, but in a brownie... what a winner!
