I love onion rings. It has to be one of my favorite appetizers or sides to get at a restaurant. Thick, deep fried onion, dipped in ketchup…I am drooling just thinking about it! So when I was chosen for the Alexia Tastemaker program, I was all over it. I knew what I was going to get immediately. Alexia sent me a coupon for a free product, an apron, as well as a hot pad. It was a little like Christmas opening the box!
I had no idea how many products Alexia had. I have tried their Sweet Potato fries before and been impressed, but they also have breads, and other appetizers. Through the end of March you can help select the new french fry flavor for Alexia Go to their Reinvent a Classic tab on their Facebook page to vote! I made my onion rings as an appetizer one night. We were having steak, salad, and my husband was having a baked potato. I got started later than I wanted, so I thought these would be a great starter. They were super easy to make, just line a sheet pan with foil, spread them out, and bake. Flip half way and you are done! They were crispy just like I had hoped. But, to be completely honest they weren’t our favorite for flavor. I have tried other frozen onion rings before, and sometimes getting crispy ones are half the battle. I am not sure what it was about these, we just didn’t love them. We did finish them all, mind you
I will continue to try their other products though, as I have enjoyed those.
I was sent a coupon for a Free Alexia product as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program with Alexia. The opinions here are my own.

We don’t have these onion rings here but I did make some of my own last night
OOooh! Those look restaurant quality! Fresh and light and packed with flavor. Bet they were a great combo with the steak
Ooohh onion rings are my favorite “fatty” food when I go out to eat, better than fries! These look delicious, like they’re homemade or fresh form a restaurant.I’ll have to try them out myself. Yum!
Oh my, I’m all over this. I love onion rings…takes me right back to my childhood!
Okay, my craving for onion rings is now in full swing! These look delicious, Erin. Alexia has a great bunch of products. If you haven’t tried their sweet potato fries, do!
My husband loves onion rings and he just bought these Alexia rings the other day. New at our grocery store. We haven’t cooked them up yet but they do look delicious. Thanks for the heads up. Hope you have a wonderful day.

My mom loves onion rings! She would be all about this.
I loooove onion rings. Will have to try these
Onion rings and I have a complicated relationship: I love them, but they don’t seem to love me!
I’ll eat ‘em anyway!
I always keep one or two bags of their potatoes in my freezer for nights when I’m short on time. And I love Family Fresh Cooking’s Thai Spiced ones on their Facebook campaign – those got my vote!
My stomach is growling. These sounds so good! Love onion rings, though my breath doesn’t always smell the best after eating them.
haha oh well!

I’ve never tried this product but we LOVE onion rings!!
I used my free coupon to try to Beer Battered Onion Rings…they were really good. I’ve had the panko-crusted ones that you had before, and I liked the beer batter coating better. I love onion rings too, but so messy to make at home…except for these Alexia ones!
What a great score. I think Alexia has the best onion rings by far. Their sweet potato fries are not bad either.
I love onion rings, and I love your honesty – you sound like me in that they were not your favourite but they all got eaten anyway
I would definitely do that with pretty much any onion ring!
I’m a fan of their sweet potato fries. Will have to try these next!
Yum! What’s better than onion rings? We just put these on the grocery list. Thanks for the great idea.

Erin…I have tried their sweet potatoes before and loved them…..but have yet to see the onion rings in my stores. : ( I just love onion rings as a side to steak. So I might have to do some supermarket hopping today! Sounds like you got a great little package! : )
I love a good onion ring. These look great!
I’ve only made onion rings myself once, and it was a big ol’ mess. Even though they were tasty I will more likely use Alexia’s frozen ones in the future.
