Spaghetti and Meatball Soup

Spaghetti and Meatball Soup -Everyone’s favorite classic comfort food turned into a soup!  A fun way to enjoy pasta in a super quick and easy dinner!

Are you they type of person that has soup all year round?  Or do you have it only when the weather gets cold? For me, I am a when the weather gets cold type of person.  But as soon as the nights are chilly, I am all about crock pot potato soup and just about any other warm and cozy idea I can come up with.

One of the reasons I love soup so much is I love dipping bread in my soup, and nothing beats a good crusty loaf of bread.  Cornbread is my favorite when I make chili, but soup needs good crusty bread!

So what better dinner to make than turn classic spaghetti and meatballs into soup!  I mean, does it get any better?  Homemade meatballs make this extra special, but feel free to use frozen if you are short on time or just don’t feel like making them.  Either way you have a comforting bowl of soup waiting for you.

I love meatballs, pretty much any kind!  They can have an Asian twist like Peanut Chicken Meatballs or your classic Italian style. Trust me, I am not picky!  Meatballs were kind of a staple when I was growing up. We would have them as an appetizer, as part of dinner, mixed with pasta…you name it, I liked it.

Italian meatballs soup is one of my favorites, because it is just so simple. If you love homemade meatballs as much as I do, trust me, meatball soup is going to become your new favorite thing. This Spaghetti and meatball soup comes together so quickly, you can make it any night of the week!

You can make your meatballs ahead of time and just have them in the fridge or freezer waiting for you. It is great to make them on the weekend and then the night you actually make the soup you can have dinner on the table in just minutes.  I like to make sure the meatballs are cooked first before putting them in the soup, because they only heat in the soup for about 6-7 minutes while the noodles cook.

I originally posted this recipe years ago when I had a huge picky eater on my hand.  A lot has changed since then, but my family still loves this soup. It will definitely change the way you think about spaghetti and meatballs!

When you are planning your menu this week, be sure to add this soup to your list. Trust me, your family is going to love it, and you are going to love how easy it is to make!
