Thursday Things & Facebook Changes

I can not believe we are only 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving!  Are you ready?  We are going to be at our parents house, so I don’t have to worry about a menu.  I will be in there helping for sure, but I am not in charge.  I have sent along my suggestions though :)

Did you know that Facebook made even more changes?  They are making it really difficult to follow our favorite blogs and companies sites.  Now, for each page that you like, you have to select that you want to add them to your “Interest List” in order to see updates.  Here is a picture of what you need to do, it takes about 10 seconds.  Make sure you do this, so you don’t miss out on any recipes.  I have a lot coming up for the holidays you don’t want to miss :)

We have been spoiled with gorgeous weather here in Colorado, but this weekend it looks like it is coming to and end.  Good-bye 60’s, Hello 40’s.  Not exactly thrilled, but if I could get this cute outfit, I would feel a little better.

I love chocolate and mint together, pretty much any time of year.  York Peppermint Patties are a guilty pleasure of mine.  I can’t wait to make these cookies for Christmas!

I am ready for the weekend (I know I still have a day)!  My parents will be here for a couple days on their way back home from a business trip.  Plus, my son’s flag football is over, so it should be a relaxing and good weekend!

Back tomorrow with another leftover Halloween candy recipe.  Trust me, you really don’t want to miss this one :)

  1. I’ve seriously given up on following the Facebook changes! Gah.

  2. the facebook changes have severely affected my blog traffic. it is terrible! Thank you so much for linking up to my york peppermint patty cookies Erin! I hope you make them – they are to die for! best cookie. :)

  3. Thanks for the tips on Facebook, I’ve been trying to figure out what the heck happened. I hate the changes they keep making and having to figure out stuff that was pretty obvious before. Makes me wonder about the changes we don’t see and how they affect us.

  4. make facebook stop it with the changes :)

  5. Yay for family visits but boooo for crazy fb…I finally gave in and opened one up but I’m not happy about it, lol.

  6. Taking On Magazines says:

I’ve given up on Facebook on many levels, to tell the truth. As with many other social media, I end up putting too much of my value into whether people make use of that little ‘thumbs-up’ so when it’s ignored, it affects me.

Anyway, better subject…extra candy? What a concept. :) Hubby and Dudette have been noshing on ours to the point that it’s already almost gone. That’s why I always buy chocolate. Very unappealing to me so I leave it alone.
