Week in Review 2/18/12

I think we bought a house!!!  We had planned on building, and were very close to closing on a lot.  In the end the neighborhood was not going to be good for our family so we started over.  Unfortunately building is not an option where we want to be, so we have been looking at existing houses.  Yesterday we went to one we really liked.  It wasn’t perfect, but it had a lot of the stuff we wanted, and are very excited about it.  After talking back and forth (the house isn’t on the market yet), I think we have come to an agreement!  We won’t move in for a couple months, because they are building a house and waiting for it to be done.  But to know we have a house is such a huge relief.  The funny thing is it is only 2 block from where we are renting, so it will be the shortest move ever!

Here is what I was up to this week:
Red Velvet Muffins – Red Velvet isn’t just for dessert anymore!  These muffins are fun and delicious!
Nutella Brownies – Super fudgy brownies with tons of Nutella flavor
French Bread Dinner Rolls – Soft and fluffy french bread dinner rolls
Jordan Almond Crusted Chicken – A twist on the classic Jordan Almonds
Love Bloggers – Showing a little love to bloggers, and learn a little more about me

Here are a few things I bookmarked this week:
Brown Butter Parmesan Chicken Linguini by How Sweet It Is- I have yet to try browned butter (gasp!), but this pasta looks amazing!
English Muffin Bread by One Good Thing – I love English muffins, and fresh bread this sounds delicious!
Peanut Butter Cup Pie by Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice – Chocolate and Peanut Butter has to be the best combination ever!  This pie looks sinful!
Snickerdoodle Blondies with Cream Cheese Frosting by Loves Veggies and Yoga – I am slightly obsessed with blondies.  Cinnamon is a huge hit at my house, these sound delicious!
Butterfinger Brownies by Recipe Girl – I am a sucker for brownies, and you just can’t beat Butterfingers!

I hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Yay!! I know you will be happy to be officially settled! Congrats on the new house. Of course I have to ask… does the new house have a great kitchen you can see yourself cooking in? I hope so. I can deal with all the other rooms.. but the kitchen must be the best part of the house for me. :)

    • Ramona – The kitchen is great! It isn’t my dream kitchen, but it is definitely beautiful and tons of space! I am looking forward to getting in there and unpacking all of my stuff! There are also 3 HUGE windows right there that gets tons of sun, so that will be super nice!
