Brownie Brittle Halloween Bark is a fun and easy Halloween treat. A layer of brownie brittle covered with melted white chocolate and decorated with Halloween candy.
My husband and I spent the weekend in Denver by ourselves. I am pretty sure the last time we spent the night away from our son was over a year ago. We have gone out to dinner without him, or had a date night, but a full night away has been awhile. That is one problem living over 1000 miles away from family! He had a great time with his grandparents, and I am sure he got away with way more than we would have let him. My husband and I relaxed and just had a low key weekend. It was nice to relax in quiet, and not have to worry about being parents. We went to 5280 Burger Bar for dinner on Saturday night, and it was so good. If you are ever in Denver, you must go there! Some of the best burgers I have ever had.
Halloween can be such a fun time of year, especially if you are a kid. As an adult, I have never been that in to dressing up. But as a kid, it was so much fun. Now I prefer to focus my energy on fun treats instead. On Friday I shared Spooky Spider Brownies with you. They are so much easier than I ever thought they would be to make. And my 9 year old loved them. This Halloween Bark was even easier! I love a treat that comes together in literally 5 minutes, but is still impressive.
To make this Halloween bark, you just need a few ingredients. I used a base of Brownie Brittle. I had a bag on hand, and I thought it would great to add some crunch to the bark. You can then really use any candies or decorations that you want. I opted for some googly eyes (Wilton brand, found at most places Wilton items are sold) candy corn, sprinkles, a few crushed Oreo’s, and some Reese’s Pieces candy. Melting the chocolate is the hardest part, so I am pretty sure even your kids could make this without you! Great treat to have around this fall. You could even package up a few pieces in a clear bag, tie with a fun ribbon and use for party favors.
- 1 (5 oz) bag Brownie Brittle (whatever your favorite flavor is)
- 1 (16 oz) package almond bark
- candy corn
- googly eyes
- crushed Oreos
- Reese's Pieces
- On a small sheet pan, arrange Brownie Brittle. You want it to fit together as well as possible, but it does not need to be perfect.
- Melt the almond bark according to the package directions.
- Pour almond bark over the brownie brittle, and spread evenly.
- Immediately sprinkle desired candy over the almond bark.
- Let cool and harden completely.
- Break or cut into small pieces.
