Football season is here! We now have college football on Friday night and Saturday; professional on Sunday, Monday, and sometimes Thursday. But we also have 3rd grade flag football on Sunday with practice during the week. I think it is pretty safe to say that football has taken over our lives. Aside from getting to sit on the couch and browse Pinterest while the boys watch football, the upside is the food! I am all about having friends over to enjoy some good food, and have football on … in the background.
When Tastykake contacted me about their “Game Day Traditions with a Tasty Twist,” I was excited to get on board. I love easy entertaining, and Tastykake makes it a no brainer. You can simply open a box of their treats, and you have dessert. Or you can turn them into all sorts of other desserts, like this pie, using Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes. With the help of a 2-year-old, I had this pie in the oven in 10 minutes.
Did you know that Tastykake has been around since 1914. They bake their treats fresh each day, and have lots of great flavors for the whole family. Traditional Butterscotch Krimpets, creamy Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes, and even Rich Chocolate Frosted Mini Donuts. Everything is made with quality ingredients and delivered fresh to the store; so you know you are getting the best. Be sure to check out the recipe section on their website for other great ideas.
No party is complete without decorations, and this one wasn’t complete without tattoos for the kids! How cute are these boys?! They had such a great time picking out what tattoos they wanted. That and eating chocolate mini donuts. I think these 4 would have polished off the entire bag in about 5 minutes if we had let them 🙂
To get you ready for game day parties, just let me know, “What traditions do you share with your friends?”
