White Wine Spritzer Recipe – a cool and refreshing cocktail you can enjoy anytime of day! So easy, you can make in minutes, with just 2 ingredients!

I posted a Red Wine Spritzer recipe awhile ago, and it has been a big hit. But I yet to post a white wine version. Well time to change that!  I mean, people like both red and white wine, right?

There is the holiday wine spritzer too, if you are looking for even another fun and festive version.  That one has cranberry juice and cranberries in it. Perfect for the holidays, but cranberry juice makes it tasty all year round. And if you have extra cranberry juice check out the Cranberry Vodka Cocktail.

 

A white wine spritzer is such an easy cocktail to make. It is best served cold, so I like it served over ice. You really just pick your favorite wine. A Chardonnay works perfectly. You don’t need a super nice bottle, because you are mixing it with something. But you do want to make sure it is something you would like to drink alone.

What is a Wine Spritzer

The ratio is up to you, but a wine spritzer is part wine and part club soda or another sparkling water. I like to add a little more flavor, so I use sprite or any lemon lime soda, even diet will work.  If you have ginger ale or club soda you could use that too!  I like the sweetness that sprite gives, so that is my choice. But all of them work!

What Is A Wine Spritzer Made Of

It is made of white wine and something fizzy. That can be club soda, sparkling water, ginger ale or lemon lime soda. Personally I prefer lemon lime soda to add a little sweetness to the drink.

This white wine spritzer is super refreshing and great to serve at your summer gatherings or even at Christmas. Doesn’t matter what time of year, it will be a hit.  You can even mix in fruit to make a Strawberry Wine Spritzer for a fun twist. 

How to Make a Wine Spritzer

• The ratio is up to you. I like half and half.  But some people prefer 75% wine to 25% sparkling
• Fill a glass with ice.  Pour your white wine over the ice filling the glass about half way.
• Top with club soda, lemon lime soda, or sparkling water. 

What Is the Best Wine For A Spritzer

You want something that is a little fruity that doesn’t have a really strong flavor. I like to use a Sauvignon Blanc or a Riesling for a white wine spritzer. I feel they are light and fruity enough they work great and everyone enjoys them.

• 1 bottle white wine
• 1 litre sprite
• ice

Instructions

1. Fill glasses completely with ice.
2. Fill half way with white wine, top with sprite.
3. Stir gently to serve.
