A classic Asian favorite with a twist - turned into a burger!

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 Tbls soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 2 Tbls honey
  • 2 Tbls ketchup
  • 2 Tbls brown sugar
  • 1 Tbls hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tsp 5-spice
  • 1 cup cole slaw mix
  • 3 Tbls cilantro , finely chopped
  • 1 Tbls hoisin sauce
  • 1 lime , juiced
  • salt and pepper
  1. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
  2. Season pork with salt and pepper. Mix, and form into 4 patties.
  3. In a small saucepan combine all of the ingredients for the glaze. Heat over low heat.
  4. Grill the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes each, until fully cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile combine make the slaw. In a bowl combine hoisin sauce and lime juice. Toss with cabbage and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toast 4 hamburger buns if desired.
  7. To serve place cooked pork burgers on a bun. Spoon over glaze and top with slaw.
  8. Serve immediately
