Easy Refried Beans - these beans are so simple to make, they have just a few ingredients, take about 20 minutes and are so much better than the canned version!

Ingredients

15 oz can Pinto Beans
1
clove
garlic
smashed

bay leaf
1/4
teaspoon
dried oregano
1/4
teaspoon
cumin
1/2
teaspoon
salt
Instructions
Add the entire contents of the can of beans to a small saucepan.
Add the rest of the ingredients, except the salt, and stir to combine.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the beans are soft.
Remove the bay leave and smash or blend to your desired consistency
Season with about 1/2 tsp salt, taste and adjust from there.
