Ingredients

butter

all-purpose flour

milk
(I use skim)

teaspoon
salt

teaspoon
black pepper
1/4
teaspoon
fresh ground nutmeg

14.5 oz can green beans
drained and rinsed
3/4
cup
fried onions
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray a 9 inch pie plate.
In a skillet melt the butter over medium high heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for a couple minutes, stirring constantly.
Slowly whisk in the milk and bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Once it starts to thicken, add green beans and stir to coat.
Pour into prepared pie plate. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Sprinkle with fried onions, and return to oven for 5 minutes; or until golden brown.
Serve immediately.

You can sub frozen green beans
