Ingredients

all-purpose flour

unsweetened cocoa powder
pinch of salt

granulated sugar

butter
melted

whole large egg

teaspoon
vanilla extract

chocolate chips
(optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350º F.
In a small bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder and pinch of salt to combine. Set aside.
Cream together butter and sugar until well combined. Add in the egg and vanilla and beat until fully incorporated
Add the flour mixture and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
Pour batter into a 5 inch cast iron skillet (or a bread loaf pan).
Bake for 12-15 minutes. The edges will start to pull away from the pan.
Let cool for 5 minutes.
Top with ice cream and sundae toppings if desired. Serve while warm.
