This Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo is a quick and easy dinner with a rich and creamy alfredo sauce, tender pasta, and juicy chicken. It is ready in no time, with almost no work for you!
Set your Instant Pot on high and add in the oil to get hot. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken and brown for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove.
If you are using a long cut pasta like linguini, break the pasta in half and add to the bottom of the pot. Pour in the chicken broth and water, and add the garlic. Use a tongs to really break up the pasta and make sure it is not in clumps together.
Put the chicken breasts back on the top. Put the lid on, lock, and change to manual high pressure for 6 minutes.
After the 6 minutes are up, quick release your Instant Pot to unlock. Remove the chicken from the top, pour in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Mix to combine and let sit for a few minutes.
1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Slice your chicken and add back to the pasta. Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the sauce has thickened a little, it is ready to serve. Top with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Make sure to really stir the pasta and spread it around before you put the lid on and cook, or your pasta can clump togther and not cook properly.
