Sparkling Berry Lemonade - Use some of those fresh summer berries to make a sweet, tart, and refreshing lemonade! Plus add use sparkling water to make it fizzy!
Start by making a simple syrup. Add water and sugar to a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for a few minutes for the sugar to dissolve. Remove it from the heat and let it cool completely before using.
Add half of the berries to your pitcher. Then use the back of a wooden spoon or a muddler to break the up and turn them into a pulp. You could also puree the berries in a food processor and press them through a fine strainer if you don't want any seeds in your drink.
Pour in the cooled simple syrup, lemon juice, the rest of the berries and lemon slices to the pitcher and stir to combine.
When you are ready to serve add the sparkling water.
It is best served over ice and you can garnish with extra berries, lemon slices and even a sprig of mint if you want.
Notes
Use any combination of berries that you like. Frozen berries can be used in place of fresh.
