I am excited to introduce to you Jen today. Jen writes over at Savory Simple, and has some stunning photography! She also has some amazing recipes like her Cheesy Baked Jalapeno Poppers, Blueberry Bourbon Crisp, or Chocolate Malt Truffles. When I first mentioned I was going to Japan on the blog, Jen and I started emailing and talking about the trip. Hopefully some day I will meet her in person!
Hi everyone! This is Jen from Savory Simple. I’m happy to be guest blogging for Erin today while she travels around Japan. I’m both excited for her and extremely jealous. Several years ago I was able to spend 3 weeks traveling around Japan and it was one of the most amazing experiences. Talk about a food lover’s paradise! I am determined to get back there eventually. For now I’ll have to live vicariously through Erin.
Today I’ve made a Nutella Irish Cream Milkshake in honor of St. Patrick’s Day (though I know I’m a bit late). I can’t say I’m the biggest drinker but I absolutely love Bailey’s. It’s amazing in desserts and mixed drinks so to celebrate the holiday I’ve combined the best of both worlds with a boozy milkshake.
Milkshakes are one of my favorite desserts because they’re fast and easy to prepare. Who wants to get complicated on a drinking holiday? Get your alcohol and sugar buzz at the same time! The chocolate and hazelnut flavors of Nutella pair perfectly with Bailey’s for a completely decadent treat.

Same here with drinking. I’m not really into it, but Bailey’s? Or Kahlua? Or a combination? Yum!
And I love these pictures. So pretty! And obviously I love the milkshake. Nutella + Bailey’s + ice cream sounds like perfection.
I tried this, but I only had Girl Scout Thin Mint ice cream…..oh my! This was delicious. Thanks for the recipe.
