Football season is here! College started last weekend, and it was on all day at our house. This week is professional. Who is your favorite team? We are split here. I was born in Minnesota, and my Dad is a big Vikings fan. So even after we moved to Wisconsin, I still held strong. My husband on the other hand, was born and raised in Wisconsin, so he is a Packers fan. And of course, a son has to side with his dad, so my 7 year old is a Packers fan. The only thing we can agree on is college – we are all Badger fans!
Football and tailgating go hand in hand. Today the #SundaySupper team is here to help. We have an amazing line up of everything you need for one killer tailgate before a game. Honestly, I don’t think I have ever officially tailgated before. I am more of a, have all your friends over to your house, watch the game on tv kind of a girl. But that needs tons of snacks too, so we are all good today!
One thing that every football game needs is a drink. The guys can have their beer, but sometimes I like a good fruity drink. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good beer as much as the next guy, but something new is always good. This is super simple to put together – just lemonade, Sprite, and Tropical Punch Vodka. You can play with the ratios to get what you like. The Tropical Punch Vodka has lots of pineapple flavor that works great with the tart lemonade.
- 2 oz Tropical Punch Vodka
- 6 oz Lemonade
- Splash of Sprite
- Fill a tumbler with ice. Pour in lemonade and vodka, stir to combine. Top with Sprite for the fizz.
Join us on Sunday as we share our favorite tailgate recipes and tips. Hop on twitter at 7pm EST for the live #SundaySupper chat.

We love lemonade in our household (it’s almost always in our fridge) but I think we’d love it even more with the tropical punch vodka! This sounds like the perfect refreshing boozy drink to guzzle (er, I mean sip) in front of the t.v. to wash down all the other fabulous recipes.
I didn’t know you were from MN?!! ME TOO! I grew up there (left in the year 1997) but it’s my homeland.
I didn’t even know Tropical Punch Vodka existed and now I want it!
Love this grown-up lemonade! I haven’t seen that vodka, but must look for it! I understand divided loyalties…I have family who are UT alumni and some who are A&M!
I need to find that Vodka! YUM!
What a fun drink!

This would have been a perfect addition to my BBQ today. Oh well now I know for next time.
Erin…this looks so good! I’m more of a fruity cocktail girl than a beer drinker. And isn’t it amazing what flavors vodka comes in these days? I’m also a huge baseball fan over football. But you can be sure I will be sipping this during the World Series! ;- }
Your drink sounds delish!! Yummy!! I didn’t know they had tropical vodka! Nice!

I love lemonade and love that you shared your recipe during #SundaySupper! Awesome photos.
I bet that would be just perfect to slurp on, on game day!!!
Something new, never heard of tropical punch vodka!
Thanks for sharing all these recipes- just perfect for celebrating football season;-)
I have never heard of tropical punch vodka, however it does sounde devine and with lemonade, my oh my!
I am not a huge football fan but every year growing up we used to go to the Iowa vs. Ohio State game. It was big time. The excitement of college football is just not the same on the East Coast.
Tropical Punch Vodka? Ummmm….yes please! This sounds perfect for a Sunday afternoon game or just hanging out on the deck. Great share for Sunday Supper!
There are so many flavors of vodka I’ve never even heard of! I love the idea of tropical punch vodka with lemonade
Perfect for a tailgate.
Mmmm…this sounds so good. Probably TOO good. I bet it’s one of those drinks that go down way too easy
. It’s so funny, our house is the opposite – we all agree on our pro team, but we’re a house divided on our college teams. But it’s all good…we have fun rooting for our favorites (especially when they play each other. That day is coming up next week, actually!! Notre Dame vs. Michigan State). I may have to make a batch of this for that game.
VERY nice!! I think I’m gonna like this a lot!
Sometimes the simple things in life are the best, like this lemonade! Delish!!!
Yum, that does sound good and refreshing!
