Dole Party

Last week I told you I was going to get to have a party with DOLE.  Well here is a wrap up from the party.   We were visiting our parents for a few days, so it was the perfect time to host a party.  I invited my aunts and uncles, my grandpa, my husband’s parents, my SIL, and my nieces.  It was so much fun to see everyone.

I decided to take the easy way out with the food for the party.  I wanted to be able to just relax and visit with family.  We took a trip to Costco to pick up a few dips, cheese, crackers, and some chips.  And some wine, of course 🙂  DOLE provided the Banana Dippers, and they were the perfect dessert.  For once I didn’t feel guilty about eating dessert.  Frozen bananas dipped in dark chocolate, are actually pretty good for you.  A serving is only 120 calories!  So much better than going back for more cookies to cure my sweet tooth.

Even the kids got in on the action.  It was pretty hard to keep the girls out of the Banana Dippers tray.  I am pretty sure they ate more than their share  🙂

I even got my dad, who I have not witnessed take a bite of a banana my entire life, to try a Banana Dipper.  To his surprise, he didn’t dislike it.  Which for him, means a lot.

You can find DOLE Banana Dippers in most grocery store freezer sections.  They make for a great afternoon chocolate fix, or an after dinner treat.  Plus they pair well with red wine, so as an after dinner treat they sound perfect to me!

  1. Wow! The dippers look fantastic! I have to look for those next time I am at the store!!

  2. Who knew they sold these in the store? I love chocolate covered bananas! They remind me of the ice cream carts in Disney.
