I realize I kind of missed the boat on the Harry Potter treats. But Halloween is all about witches and wizards, so I thought it was time to bring it back! That, and I have a 7 year old who is completely obsessed. He has read 5 of the books so far, and is just waiting until we let him start book 6. He will sit and read them for hours, he loves them so much. I am sure you can guess what he is being for Halloween 🙂
So, I thought it would be fun to make him some Butterbeer this Halloween. There are so many recipes out there, and it was way easier to make then I ever thought it would be. I made the whipped topping from scratch, but if you were in a hurry, you could flavor some cool whip, and I am sure it would still be great! In a matter of minutes you can be transported to The Three Broomsticks.
My 7 year absolutely loved this. He was so excited that we made it. Even I enjoyed my glass. I hope you make this for all of your witches and wizards for Halloween.
Butterbeer

All the witches and wizards need a fun drink just like Harry Potter

Very cool mom! You can tell your son loved it, my kids both fell in love with the series and one year my daughter carved Harry’s face on a pumpkin. Harry Potter will always be a classic and it got both my kids excited about reading.

We’ve been Harry Potter fans since the very beginning and my children as well as hubby and I have read all the books! Very impressive your 7 year old reading them. When he get’s a bit older you’ll have to take him to Universal in Orlando, they did a phenomenal job with the Hogwarts experience and even had Butterbeer there. I can tell you your recipe is spot on! Butter flavored extract is the key.
