Green Beans With Bacon – a classic recipe that is fit for the holidays but easy enough to make for busy weeknights!
As soon as the holidays roll around everyone is always talking about Green Bean Casserole. And as much as I love it, don’t get me wrong, there is another green bean dish that is just as tasty!
Green Beans and Bacon is smokey, salty and delicious. Plus it is ready in just minutes, so it is great for any night of the year.

I am super excited to partner with Ibotta for this post. They are partnering with Walmart to give away Free dinners to Americans this Thanksgiving!
2020 has been a crazy time and only going to get harder for some this holiday season. And by just using the Ibotta app you can save money on your every day purchases to make life a little less stressful. And starting in November, all consumers who use the Ibotta app and browser extension can receive 100% cash back on all the products they need for a Thanksgiving Dinner (which feeds a family of 5).
If you have been around here for awhile, you know I have been using the Ibotta App for years. A friend introduced me to it and it is the easiest way I have found to get cash back on groceries, without having to clip coupons and watch for deals.

Below you can see all the items that are included in the Free dinner from Ibotta. You really do have everything you need! A small turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, the makings for green bean casserole, and even a 2 liter of Coke. I love that Ibotta and Walmart are helping to give back and lift people up right now. The world definitely needs more of it!

These green beans with bacon start out with frozen green beans. Which means you can make them all year round, you don’t need fresh ones to be in season. And adding onions, garlic, and bacon really elevates and gives frozen beans more flavor.
How To Make Green Beans With Bacon
- Cut your bacon into small pieces and brown over medium heat. Once it is cooked, remove it from the pan. I like to leave about 1 Tbsp of bacon grease in the pan.
- Add in the onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
- After the onions are mostly done mix in the garlic and let it cook for about a minute, just until you can start to smell it.
- Now you add everything to the pan. The bacon goes back, the beans go in as well as the butter. Cook until the beans are hot and the butter is melted.
- Then you just season with salt and pepper to taste and serve!

If you have ever had the green beans at Texas Roadhouse, these taste almost exactly the same!
This green beans and bacon recipe is done in about 15 minutes, so they are great when the holidays are crazy and you need something easy, but also for any night of the week! Yes, you can use fresh green beans but you need to add some broth for them to simmer in to make sure they are cooked before adding back the bacon and butter.

This holiday season is definitely going to be different than years past, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing! I am excited to make memories and start new traditions with my family.
Download the Ibotta App or new browser extension today and start getting cash back right away. It is such an easy way to make life a little bit less stressful these days.
All offers are available starting in November, while supplies last. Check your app for details
