Best Frozen Strawberry Margarita – no need to go out, make your favorite margarita at home with a few simple ingredients!
This post is sponsored by Princess Cruises. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Recently I had the opportunity to go on a Caribbean Cruise with Princess Cruises. You may remember I went to Alaska last year with them. And the year before I cruise the Panama Canal and shared my Shrimp Boil recipe.
So what do you do when you are in the Caribbean enjoying the gorgeous weather, blue skies and ocean waves? You have cocktails. And my favorite frozen strawberry margarita was right up there on the list! It is a close second to the Blue Margarita that I have shared with you before.
Now if you go on a Princess cruise be prepared for the mile high frozen margaritas you are going to get. Just look at this. It is almost a work of art! Honestly, I didn’t even attempt that when I got home, because I could just see it going all over my counter.
But this strawberry margarita recipe s super simple, with just a few ingredients. I don’t like to use the store bought margarita mix because I think it is too sweet and just syrupy. But I do use a little help from the store with limeade concentrate. This helps with keeping it nice and frozen and gives it lots of lime flavor.
How to Make a Strawberry Margarita
- Break out the blender so it can get nice and slushy
- Add a mix of frozen strawberries and fresh strawberries to the blender. You can use only frozen if you don’t have any fresh. You may just need to add a little bit of liquid to thin it out at the end.
- Squeeze in the container of limeade concentrate
- Pour in your tequila and triple sec
- Blend away! Make sure you get it nice and smooth and you don’t have any chunks of strawberry left in there.
- If you like your margarita a little sweeter, you can add some simple syrup to taste.
This is the best frozen margarita recipe I have tried. And trust me, over the years I have tried quite a few. Mexican food is pretty much my favorite ever, and I could live on Enchiladas almost every day. And what goes better with Mexican food than Margaritas, right?
We were sailing on the Caribbean Princess which is a Medallion Class ship. What does that mean? The medallion is pretty much the coolest thing to hit cruising in years. You can use the app to order your food and drinks to be delivered right to you. So if you have the perfect chair by the pool, no worries your margarita can come straight to you!
Plus the Medallion class ships have the best internet at sea. Pretty much as fast as at my house, I could Facetime, work, and even stream movies while we were in the middle of the ocean. Stay tuned for lots more information on that in another post.
