Asian Recipes
Asian Recipes that your family will love!
My family loves Asian food! There is just something about the saucy noodles, the different textures, and all the different flavors that just suck you in.
We eat a lot of Asian inspired food at home, instead of getting Chinese take out. Making it at home is so fast and easy. Plus you control all of the ingredients, the salt, the quality and you can add what your family likes.
I have a few tips for making the perfect Asian recipes at home.
- Have your ingredients prepped before you start. Asian recipes have a tendency to cook very quickly. So you don't want to be running all over gathering stuff and have something burn.
- Use a good pan. You can invest in a wok if you want, or just a heavy duty skillet. Most recipes call for high heat, so you want your pan to stand up to it. The better the pan, the more evenly it heats, and the better your food will turn out.
- Don't be afraid of the ingredients. Most of the recipes I make, use ingredients you can find in your normal store. You may not have tried them before, or recognize them; but they should be relatively easy to find.
- Substitutions. Follow the recipe the first time. You may think it calls for too much fish sauce, but try it. After you try it the first time, then adjust. Add more veggies if you want, use less soy sauce. Just give the recipe a chance the first time.
- Be adventurous. If you see something that looks good, try it! It is amazing what vegetables I can get my family to eat, by putting it with noodles and soy sauce!
