halloween bark ready to set up

This Halloween Bark is such a fun and easy treat to make when you want something special for Halloween. It is so customizable, it can work for just about anyone or any occasion! If you are carving pumpkins you can do it differently then if you are having a spooky party.

Why You’ll Love Halloween Candy Bars

  • Simple – It only takes a few ingredients, and what those are are really up to you! Melting chocolate is about as complicated as it gets! So it can also be a great activity for the kids to do.
  • Fast – Melting chocolate sets up rather quickly, which is the longest part. Actually making it, takes about 5 minutes!
  • Easy – this doesn’t require an oven or the stovetop, just a microwave safe bowl and a baking sheet. Super easy to make in just minutes.
  • Customizable – use whatever kind of chocolate you like (milk, dark, white) add in colors, use whatever candy you like. So many ways to mix it up and make it fit your party.

Candy Bark Topping Ideas

As you can see I used themed sprinkles, Kit Kats, Reese’s Pieces, and candy eyes on my bark, but the options are truly endless. And you don’t have to use just candy!

  • Chopped Nuts
  • Candy Corn
  • M&M’s
  • Peanut Butter Cups
  • Pretzels
  • Snickers
  • Crushed Oreo Cookies

What Kind Of Chocolate To Use

You really can use whatever your favorite is. I like to use the chocolate almond bark because it melts so fast, is super smooth, and sets up quickly. But really any chocolate you like eating that melts will work for this.

Use white chocolate and drizzle orange and green candy melts over the top for a fun twist. Use dark chocolate and add white chocolate swirls. You could even use white chocolate to make it look like ghosts. You can get as creative as you like!

Storing Halloween Candy Bark

Once the bark has set up and you have cut into pieces, store in an airtight container. It should last 1-2 weeks at room temperature.
