I wasn’t going to post a recipe today, but I wanted to give you one last fun drink that you can enjoy this weekend! Do you have any fun plans to enjoy the 4th of July? I think that we are going to go on a bike ride tomorrow. Hopefully the trail that we want to ride on isn’t flooded this time. The rest of the weekend will be spent going to a Colorado Rockies game and probably going up to the mountains to go on a hike. Personally I am excited for fireworks. I love getting to see fireworks, there is just something amazing about them!
A couple weeks ago we went on a hike that got finished right around lunch time. We were starving, so we stopped at Red Robin for a quick lunch. I was looking at the drink menu and noticed a Wild Beery Lemonade drink. It sounded so refreshing, so I took a picture of the description. I wasn’t willing to spend $10 on one drink, so I was determined to make my own version at home. I did the same thing with my Baja Shrimp Taco recipe, based on Red Robin’s table display. It quickly became one of my most popular recipes, so hopefully you enjoy this one too.
To make this beery lemonade you need to use Redd’s Strawberry Ale. This is the first time I have tried the strawberry version. I have been keeping the apple version on hand for awhile, but have been wanting to try the strawberry version. I used fresh strawberries and raspberries for the puree, because that is what I had. But you could use frozen berries, and any combination of berries that you wanted. I love a cocktail to be fizzy and this fits the bill. Fruity, fizzy, light, crisp, refreshing and great for any summer get together!

This looks so delicious! I just went to a roof bar last week, and they served something similar to this. They used the apple version like you said, but I am curious to try the strawberry ale. Thank you for the recipe!

I had no idea Redd's made a strawberry ale. I must get my hands on that and then make this!
