Cheeseburger Pizza – Two classics come together in one delicious and fun dinner! Thousand Island dressing, ground beef and all the toppings!

This post is sponsored by Marie’s Dressing. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

When I am trying to figure out what to make for dinner, I think the two most requested things are hamburgers and pizza. There is just something perfect about both of them in their own right.

But then you combine them, and you get one epic pizza! A cheeseburger pizza you can top with all your favorite burger toppings to make an over-the-top delicious dinner.

One of the best things about going to a restaurant and trying different burgers, is the sauce they put on them. It seems that most places have their own “special sauce” for their signature burger. And it is almost always something similar to a thousand island dressing.

So to make things easy, I used a bottle of dressing for this recipe. But you can absolutely making your own. The Burger Sauce in my Cheeseburger Quesadilla Recipe is almost exactly the same!

How To Make Cheeseburger Pizza

  1. Start by making your pizza dough or prepping your store-bought dough. Follow whatever recipe you are making and then roll it out onto a grease and cornmeal dusted baking sheet.
  2. I like to use a fork to pierce the crust to help it not puff up while baking.
  3. Bake the crust for 5 minutes before you add any toppings.
  4. Meanwhile brown the onions and ground beef together until the meat is cooked. If there is any fat in the pan be sure to drain it away.
  5. Mix in the salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce with the meat.
  6. Once the pizza crust has baked for 5 minutes it is time to load it up. Spread Thousand Island Dressing evenly over the crust. Top with cheese and the ground beef mixture.
  7. Bake for 7-9 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove it from the oven and top with your favorite toppings.

What To Put On Cheeseburger Pizza

I chose pickles and tomatoes and a little bit more Thousand Island Dressing for mine. But there are lots of options! Pretty much anything you would put on a burger is fair game.

  • Pickles
  • Raw Onion
  • Chopped Lettuce
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Diced Avocado
  • Bacon

This is such a fun dinner to make and give you all the flavors of two classic dishes in one. The Thousand Island Dressing really stands out and makes it just like a restaurant burger.

Plus, it is super easy to make! You can use store bought crust or your favorite homemade version. After it comes out of the oven, you can top it however you want. It is very easy to customize and make exactly how you want it.

Storage

Just like any pizza you have leftover, you can store in the fridge for a few days. You can enjoy cold in the middle of the night, no one will judge. Or you can warm it up in an air fryer, toaster oven, or even the microwave.

How To Serve Cheeseburger Pizza

Pizza is one of those meals that can be hard to figure out what goes with it. Garlic Knots and Breadsticks are always something I think of when I have pizza, doesn’t matter what flavor. You could do a small Tossed Salad or Caesar Salad. Or you could do Roasted Asparagus or a Tomato Mozzarella Salad to get more veggies in.
