Sausage & Wild Rice Salad – a great salad for any occasion.  Mix greens with mango, wild rice, macadamia nuts, and smoked sausage topped with a creamy yogurt dressing!

If you have been here before, you know that I am a huge fan of sausage as well as spice.  We love Cajun, Mexican, Spanish…you name it. Bold flavors are a staple in our dinners.  So today, I am super excited to share this new product I found: Hillshire Farm® Tajin® Chili Lime Smoked Sausage!

They give you the same smoked sausage you are used to but with Tajin spice seasoning.  Big flavors with just a moderate amount of spice. Such a great addition to just about anything!

A friend made this salad at a potluck recently, and I fell in love.  She didn’t use sausage in hers, but I knew it would add tons of flavor and work really well.  It starts with a base of mixed greens, and then you toss together wild rice, diced mango, and green onions. It is all mixed together in a creamy, citrus-y yogurt dressing.  And then comes the star of the show: the Tajin® Chili Lime Smoked Sausage. And then for a little crunch, macadamia nuts are sprinkled on top.

This sausage and wild rice salad could be a full meal or just a side dish.  Trust me, you will get asked for the recipe and everyone is going to love it.  The citrus from the dressing, the mango, and the sausage just work so well together.  Oftentimes, salads can be boring—but this is anything but!

You can find the sausage at your local Alberton’s store.  I went to my Safeway, and it was super easy to find with all of the other sausages.  Plus, I could pick up everything else I needed—so it was just 1 stop. Can’t ask for much more than that when you are trying to make dinner.

I am excited to try this chili lime smoked sausage in more recipes; I think it will go amazing with shrimp in quick skillet meal.  It is a little sweet and a little smokey with just a hint of spice. It will add so much flavor to whatever you are making.

I love that Tajin® Chili Lime Smoked Sausage is made with quality cuts of meat.  It will spice up any meal with the use of Tajin® Clásico Seasoning. We love this seasoning; it is great on watermelon, corn, and so much more! The sausage is fully cooked, so it is super easy to prepare.  For this wild rice salad, I just sliced and then sauteed in a skillet to get it nice and golden.

Make sure when you are shopping at Albertson’s, you are using their mobile app.  It is a great way to get deals and save money on so many of the products you are buying anyway.  An easy way to save money without a lot of extra work!

I am excited for you to try this new sausage.  Let me know how you are going to try it first! This Sausage & Wild Rice Salad is great for a quick dinner, a side dish, and will be a huge hit at any potluck.  Be sure to pick up an extra package so you have enough!
