I have seen a lot of recipes for brownie batter dip that use actual brownie batter. You can definitely go that way, and even try it with my Homemade Brownie Mix. But I wanted to do something that was more homemade and could control some of the ingredients a little more.

How To Make Brownie Batter Dip

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.

  1. You can use a hand mixer, an electric stand mixer or just a spatula to make this recipe. Start by creaming together the cream cheese, butter, and brown sugar until it is nice and smooth.
  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients (minus the chocolate chips) and blend until well combined and smooth.
  3. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with chocolate chips.

Pro Tip

You will want to heat treat your flour before adding it to the mix. If you look on the bag of flour it will have a warning about not eating raw flour. So I like to microwave the flour for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds.

What Can I Mix In Brownie Batter Dip?

You really can take your dip up a notch but stirring in some of your favorite candies. I like to put the chocolate chips on top, but try stirring them in. Or use M&M’s, Reese’s Pieces, chopped peanuts or other nuts, peanut butter chips or any other flavored chip would be great to.

How Do You Store It?

Cover it with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container in the fridge. It will last for a few days.

Can You Freeze It?

I wouldn’t recommending freezing it. The cream cheese will start to separate and give off too much moisture as it thaws, it would definitely change the texture of the dip.

  1. Oh my word! I want to spread this on everything in my life (or just have at it with a spoon!)

    1. There are a few brands that make different chocolate spreads – you can look in the peanut butter isle. Hershey has one, I think Jif has one, and then you could also use Nutella chocolate spread.

  2. I have to make this! I hate to admit it, but I sneak a little bit of batter whenever I make brownies. This is going to be great!
