Garlic Beef Noodle Bowls are a quick and flavorful dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Tender strips of beef are cooked with a savory garlic sauce and tossed with noodles. Add whatever veggies you like for a dinner that is ready in about 15 minutes!

Noodle bowls are an easy way to get dinner on the table, and load them up with whatever you like! The chewy noodles soak up the delicious sauce and it’s customizable too, so you can swap in your favorite veggies or adjust the spice level to suit your taste.
I love dinner that is ready in minutes. These garlic beef noodle bowls come together in about 15 minutes, which is perfect for busy weeknights. Slicing the beef takes the most amount of time. Depending on the noodles you use, they can be done in anything from 2-10 minutes.

- Olive Oil
- Skirt Steak or Flank Steak – people have said that ground beef works well too.
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Soy Sauce
- Brown Sugar
- Sesame Oil
- Noodles – see notes below for the best types. I use Udon Noodles when I make it.
- Green Onions
- Sesame Seeds
And you can even complete your take out meal with a super fast and easy Egg Drop Soup if you want the full restaurant experience.

How To Make Garlic Beef Noodle Bowls
- Cook Noodles. Start by cooking whatever noodles you want to use according to package directions.
- Make Sauce. In a small bowl or liquid measuring cup mix together brown sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir until well combined and then set aside until you are ready to use it.
- Cook Meat. Heat oil over high heat in a large skillet. Once it is hot, add the beef strips. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes, until it is browned, but not cooked through.
- Season. Add garlic and ginger to the pan, cook for 1 minute until you can just start to smell them. You want to be careful not to let them burn.
- Add Sauce. Now you mix in the soy sauce mixture to the pan and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
- Toss Together. Add cooked noodles to the pan and stir until everything is well coated.
- Serve. Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the pan to serve.

What Noodles Do I Use
What noodles you use, is pretty much up to you. I used udon noodles, but some people comment they look like worms and can’t do it. Check out the noodles in the Asian aisle of your grocery store for even more options.
- Lo Mein Noodles
- Linguine
- Spaghetti
- Egg Noodles
- Udon Noodles
Or pretty much any other noodle that you like will work.
Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- Add Veggies. You can turn this into a full stir fry by adding any vegetables you like. Bell peppers, snow peas, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms etc.
- Prep. This cooks very quickly, so you want to have everything measured and ready when you start cooking or your meat will end up being over cooked and tough.
- Protein. You can definitely mix up the protein called for in this recipe. Using ground beef or even ground turkey will make it more budget friendly. But any cut of steak, thinly sliced will also work great.
- Storage. Leftovers are great stored in the fridge for 3-4 days. Just reheat in the microwave until warmed through to serve.

Delicious and easy recipe. Please ignore the ignorant…My condolences on your loss. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! So glad you enjoyed it!
Substituted honey for the brown sugar and added some sriracha for a kick. Going to try using rice noodles next time. Yum!
I want to add some blanched broccoli to this dish. Should I make I little extra sauce OR is amount in recipe sufficient to coat all the ingredients? The picture looks so appetizing; I’m gonna make it today.
Hazel, You will probably be fine with the sauce. But my family tends to like things extra saucey, so I would probably make just a little bit extra to mix in. Enjoy!
Erin, thank you so much for responding. I added about 1 1/2 cups of blanched broccoli florets and I increased sauce by half and it was sufficient coverage. It was very yummy. Thank you for recipe.
Where in Wisconsin? That’s where I grew up. 🙂
I’m craving these noodles, they look so yummy!
Fun! I grew up right outside of Madison, you?
I need to make this for dinner tonight!
Love those asian flavors!
This is all the comfort!
And five stars! What a recipe!
Such a perfect weeknight dinner! Love all that garlic!
Love this dish! My kids are so excited about it!
This dish totally saved our dinner! I had cooked up some udon noodles to go with another dish, but then it turned out that I was missing a few main ingredients that I thought I had. SO… I quickly hopped onto Pinterest, searched Udon Noodle Recipes, this popped up & I decided to try it since it looked good & I had all of the ingredients.
Well, long story short… It came together in a snap. Seriously, the longest part was slicing the beef & that took no time at all. My husband loved it so much, he said it was better than the original dish I was planning to make. And my 3 year old was gobbling up his bowl. It was just so so good. 🙂
Thank you for the delicious recipe. It’s now going to be a regular in our home.
Also, taking a 14 hour trip twice in a weekend is brutal! But I wouldn’t have dished out $600 per person for plane tickets either. Even if it was just my husband & me. Whew!
