Apple Cider Cocktail – use fresh apple cider to make this smooth and delicious fall cocktail!  Just 4 ingredients and so easy to make.

As soon as fall hits I am all about apple everything!  It can be classics like Apple Cider Donuts that are made every fall or using apples in drinks and other desserts.  You can find delicious apples everywhere in the fall and nothing beats fresh apple cider!

What Alcohol Can You Mix With Apple Cider

The answer is more like what can’t you!  Depending on how you flavor it and what you mix it with, you can mix rum, tequila, bourbon, vodka, whiskey and just about anything else with apple cider.  Today we are using Fireball Whisky to make this super fun cider cocktail.

What’s In this Apple Cider Cocktail

  • Apple Cider
  • Orange Juice
  • Fireball Whisky
  • Vanilla Extract

Super simple, just 4 ingredients and you get the most smooth and easy to drink cocktail.

I love using Fireball with apple because it has an underlying sweet cinnamon flavor to it.  So they pair perfectly together.  Along with the orange juice and the tiniest bit of vanilla extract you get a super balanced and delicious cocktail that may just be a little too easy to drink!

Can I Make This Apple Cider Cocktail Without Alcohol

Yes you can!  You just want to get a little cinnamon flavor in the drink to really tie it all together.  There are a couple says you can do this.  Mix about 1/4 tsp of cinnamon with about 1/2 tsp of honey until it is well combined.  Then stir it into the drink.  Cinnamon doesn’t really dissolve like sugar does because it is technically the bark of the plant. So you want to mix it with something else that will dissolve so it mixes into the drink and you don’t just have pieces of cinnamon throughout. Alternatively you could just sprinkle a little cinnamon into the drink or serve with a cinnamon stick to help flavor it.

How to Make Apple Cider Cocktail

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice and shake until the shaker is cold.
  2. Pour in a glass over ice.  And garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired.
  3. If you don’t have a shaker you can mix everything in the glass and just stir well.  Either way you want it nice and cold at the end!

Can I Make This In Advance

Yes, you can.  You just want to store it in the fridge until you are ready to drink it.  Then mix it and pour over ice.  The recipe is written for one drink, but you can easily double, triple, etc to make a pitcher for party.  Then you can make it ahead of time and just have it waiting for when your guests arrive.

What Can I Use Instead of Fireball

There are a few other whiskys that have that sweet hot cinnamon flavor to them that are great.  You could just use your favorite whisky as well, it would just not have quite the same flavor.

  • Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire
  • Jim Beam Fire
  • Chicken Cock Cinnamon Whiskey
