BBQ Chicken Wrap – make meal time easy with these barbecue chicken wraps that are loaded with flavor! Barbecue chicken, cheese, red onion, lettuce, avocado and ranch make these a tasty lunch or dinner idea.

You guys know I love a good wrap. There are just so many things you can do with it! Take your favorite salad and turn it into a Chicken Caesar Wrap. Seriously, just take your favorite meal idea, wrap it in a tortilla and you have lunch or dinner in no time.

These BBQ chicken wraps are so easy to make, you can have them ready in literally 10 minutes for a super easy dinner or take it to work for lunch.

What You’ll Need

  • Tortillas
  • Chicken
  • Barbecue Sauce
  • Lettuce
  • Red Onion
  • Sliced Tomatoes
  • Avocado
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Ranch Dressing

I like to start with Instant Pot BBQ Chicken for this, because it is just so easy and flavorful. But if you are short on time, pick up a rotisserie chicken and just toss it with some barbecue sauce. It works great with any leftover chicken as well. Simply shred or cut into pieces, and mix with your favorite barbecue sauce.

How To Make BBQ Chicken Wraps

  1. The first thing to do is to get your chicken ready. If you are cooking the chicken, put water in the bottom of your Instant Pot, then place in the chicken and pour over the barbecue sauce. Cook for 14 minutes, quick release to unlock. Then remove the chicken and shred. Toss with a little more barbecue sauce until everything is well coated.
  2. Place a large tortilla or wrap in front of you and then just layer in your ingredients. I like to start with the cheese, then lettuce, ranch dressing, tomato, onions, avocado and then top with the chicken.
  3. Fold in the sides and then tightly roll, just like a burrito.
  4. Cut them in half and serve.

What Goes With Wraps

Can I Make Ahead

Absolutely, they are best served within a couple of hours, but they definitely last longer. The veggies inside start to get a little soggy the longer they sit, but it still tastes great. If you want to make ahead, just wrap in parchment paper or plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Tortillas To Use

I like to use the large burrito sized tortillas when making wraps. If you want low carb, there are lots of options out there for those as well. You can even do flavored ones. Sun-Dried Tomato or the Jalapeno Cheddar are great with this bbq chicken wrap. Use whatever your family likes and enjoys, just fill it accordingly for the size of your tortilla.

You can also make your own ranch dressing! Use this Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix and skip the store bought stuff.
