Berry Rosé Sangria – Use Rose wine to make this refreshing and easy sangria for summer.  Loaded with raspberry and strawberries for a great summer cocktail.

I am pretty sure that you know I am a huge fan of sangria by now.  Easy Sangria Recipe is really one of my favorite drinks to make for parties and whenever we have people over.  It is refreshing and fruity.  But if you like white wine, I have you covered too!  White Sangria is one of the more popular recipes on the blog, so don’t miss it!

I was feeling kind of bad for rosé wine though, so I had to make a version using that! Rosé wine can be find all over the world and uses a variety of different grapes. It also ranges in sweetness, and this is one that I like a slightly sweeter variety for. But you can use whatever you can find, because it is just so versatile. You can also try a rose wine spritzer for another special cocktail.

To make this Rosé Sangria I used a little vodka instead of brandy that you would use when making a red sangria.  In the white version I also added triple sec, but here I just wanted it to be light, clean and fresh. So I just stuck with the vodka and berries.

You can use whatever berries you want, blackberries and blueberries would make a great addition and mix up the color as well.  I stuck with strawberries and raspberries because I wanted just the pretty pink color to come through. And snacking on the wine soaked berries after the drink is done is the best treat!

WHAT IS SANGRIA?

Sangria has a Spanish origin.  It is usually served like a punch, in a large pitcher for a group. Traditionally it is made with red wine and chopped fruits.  Aside from wine, there is an added alcohol like brandy and maybe orange juice.  But there is nothing wrong making different version with white or rosé wine.

HOW TO MAKE SANGRIA

This Rosé Sangria is one of the easiest things to make.  You just have to chop the the strawberries, leave the raspberries whole and mix in the wine and vodka.  I like to make it early in the say, so everything can blend together. The wine picks up the flavor from the berries, and the berries get nice and plump from the wine. And to make it extra special, I like to make it fizzy!  I add that right at the end to serve so it doesn’t go flat.

I like to serve sangria all year round, but I have to say this Rosé Sangria is a great summer drink while enjoying the sun and time outside.  Serve at your next barbecue with Yogurt Marinated Pork Kebabs. It doesn’t over take the flavor and is a great summer meal.
