How To Make Chocolate Milkshakes

  • Make Whipped Cream. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks. Add in powdered sugar and vanilla and beat to stiff peaks.
  • Add To Blender. Scoop the ice cream into your blender and pour in the milk. Process until smooth and combined.
  • Decorate Glass. Use chocolate sauce that has a nozzle or is in a squeeze bottle.  Place the tip inside the glass, about 1 inch from the top.  Gently squeeze rotating the glass until you have a line all the way around.
  • Finish. Pour prepared shake into glass. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Recipe Tips & Tricks

  1. Good quality ice cream.   Chocolate ice cream can taste fake if you get the cheap stuff.  Splurge and get the good stuff for milkshakes.
  2. A little milk. you need a little milk to get it all to come together.  Whole milk will give it a richer taste, but you can honestly use any milk that you have.
  3. No Blender? The recipe instructions say to use a blender to make this milkshake. But if you don’t have done, don’t worry. You can use a food processor to make a milkshake, or an immersion blender works well too.
  4. Toppings. You can top your milkshake with Homemade Whipped Cream and sprinkles to make them more fun! Or you can enjoy as is, it is completely up to you.
