Crock Pot Honey Garlic Meatballs – super tender meatballs that simmer in a delicious honey garlic sauce. Great for an appetizer or over rice for dinner.
I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week? Are you ready? I haven’t done a thing to plan for it, so I am not ready. I did buy a turkey for the school turkey drive, but that is it. We are actually having Thanksgiving dinner with my in-laws, so I am not in charge, but still, I usually do something. Thinking of making a big pot of Crock Pot Chili to share the night before.
So are you having turkey? Ham? Something else entirely? I don’t really care about the main dish, but I need to have stuffing, green bean casserole, and maybe a warm dinner roll with plenty of real melty butter on it. So carbs basically. If you have visited here before, that should come as no surprise.
Another favorite part of Thanksgiving is the appetizers. I love grazing on food all day, while the big meal is being prepared. And today I have the perfect appetizer for you to serve next week. Crock Pot Honey Garlic Meatballs. They are so easy to make, and the flavor is crazy good. Plus, they sit in the slow cooker until you are ready to eat them, so they couldn’t be easier.
You could really use any meatball recipe you have. Even frozen store bought meatballs would work for this recipe. It is the sauce that counts. I did make the meatballs from scratch and then just cooked them for a couple minutes, so they were browned and would hold together in the crock pot. Then you pour over the delicious honey garlic sauce, and let it all come together.
The best thing about this crock pot honey garlic meatball recipe, is you can make it all ahead of time. Brown the meatballs the day before, and put them in the fridge. Mix together the sauce, and store it in the fridge. Then just dump it all together in the crock pot and let is cook for a few hours and you are ready to eat!
These meatballs make a great dinner too. There is plenty of the honey garlic sauce, so serve with some white rice to soak it up, and you have an easy dinner! Plus the sauce uses ingredients I am pretty sure you have in your pantry right now. So no special trips to the store, just add it to the menu!
