Double Peanut Butter Bars – Creamy peanut butter and peanut butter chips come together with chocolate for a heavenly dessert!

Peanut Butter fans, this one is for you! Normally when you see a chocolate and peanut butter dessert it is mainly chocolate, with just a little bit of peanut butter thrown in. Like these Peanut Butter Stuffed Brownies.

But not these, and not today! These are a creamy peanut butter flavored bar, that has peanut butter chips and chocolate syrup mixed in. So easy to make, decadent, and delicious!

If you like peanut butter or have a peanut butter fan in your life, these are going to be a must make! They are like a peanut butter cookie in bar form, so you aren’t having to bake individual cookies on a tray for an hour. Just mix everything together, pour into a pan and bake!

  • Peanut Butter
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla Extract
  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Peanut Butter Chips
  • Chocolate Syrup

How To Make Peanut Butter Bars

  1. Start by greasing or lining a 13×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil.
  2. In an electric mixer, beat butter and peanut butter together until creamy. Add sugar and brown sugar and beat well until it is well incorporated.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the peanut butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the peanut butter chips.
  6. Spread half of batter in prepared pan and then spoon the chocolate syrup over the top. Carefully top with remaining batter; swirl with a knife for marbled effect.
  7. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Storage

These bars will last up to 5 days if you put them in an air tight container. You can also let them cool completely and freeze them if you want to make them ahead for an event or something. Just let them thaw at room temperature before serving.

Peanut Butter Allergies

These could be made with almond butter or another nut butter or even sun butter if you can’t have any type of nuts. As for the peanut butter chips, you could use chocolate chips or butterscotch chips instead. The base recipe is great for you to play around with and make work for your diet.

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
  • Beat butter and peanut butter in large bowl. Add sugar and brown sugar; beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla.
  • Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; mix into peanut butter mixture, blending well. Stir in peanut butter chips. Spread half of batter in prepared pan; spoon syrup over top. Carefully top with remaining batter; swirl with a knife for marbled effect.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut and Enjoy!
