- Using a 2 Tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Shape each ball of dough into an egg. I like to carefully flatten to my desired thickness, and then use my thumb and middle finger to create and egg shape around the cookie mixture.
- Chill for about an hour before decorating so bits of Oreo don't fall off into the chocolate.
- Melt the chocolate in separate bowls. Using a fork dop the Oreo eggs into the chocolate and place on a lined baking sheet. Use sprinkles to decorate, or drizzle other colors over your eggs.Colored Candy Melts, Sprinkles
- Let the chocolate completely set before serving.

How To Make Oreo Easter Eggs
- Make Oreo Balls. Add the Oreos to the base of your food processor. Cut the cream cheese into smaller pieces and scatter over the top. Pulse to crush and bring everything together. Scrap the sides down as necessary.
- Form Into Eggs. I use my medium cookie scoop (about 2 Tablespoons) to scoop into balls, and place on a lined baking sheet. Form into eggs by gently flattening and then shaping. You can use your thumb and middle finger to create an oval and use to shape the balls. Place back on line baking sheet and chill for an hour before dipping.
- Dip & Decorate. Using whatever colors of melting chocolate you like, melt until smooth. Use 2 forks to dip the Oreo eggs in the chocolate, taping off the excess, and placing back on a lined baking sheet. Working quickly top with sprinkles if desired. Use leftover chocolate to drizzle over your dipped eggs to decorate.

Recipe Tips & Suggestions
- White Chocolate. I like to use almond bark because I think it melts smoothly and makes dipping easier. But for the colors I like to use the candy melts.
- Color Choices. The brighter the colors you use vs pastel colors the less chance you have of the dark filling showing through. You can use sprinkles and drizzle other colors over to hide this as well. But if you use super light colors you make see the chocolate thru them.
- Oreos. You can use any flavor Oreo you like. Golden Oreos are also a great option, and you don’t have to worry about the dark cookie showing through.
- Sprinkles. I like to use festive sprinkles, but colored sugar also works great. You just have to work quickly to add it before the candy hardens. The melting disks and almond bark can set up quickly, so keep an eye on it.

Storage
Store Oreo Easter eggs in the fridge. Because of the cream cheese you want to keep these cold. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months.

Hi Erin
I’m in charge of an orange jello salad for Easter. Do you have any recipes for that?
Thanks
