Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate – Rich and creamy hot chocolate that is perfect for fall. Real pumpkin and cinnamon make this comforting and delicious!

As soon as the fall hits I know everyone is all about the pumpkin spice latte, but I am just going to put this out there and say I don’t like coffee. It is ok, don’t leave! It just means there is more coffee out there for you, and we can still be friends.

Just because I don’t like coffee, doesn’t mean I don’t want a pumpkin spiced, warm and cozy drink. So I turned to hot chocolate and got it all ready for fall.

In case you are new here, I love to make fun Drink Recipes. They can be cocktail, mocktails, or different versions of Hot Chocolate like Peppermint Hot Chocolate, a Kahlua Hot Chocolate or the most rich and decadent French Hot Chocolate you have ever had!

What You’ll Need

  • Milk
  • Pumpkin
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • Brown Sugar
  • Chocolate
  • Vanilla Extract

What milk you use is entirely up to you. Whole milk will obviously give you a thicker and richer drink, but skim milk is delicious and saves on calories and fat. So it really is up to you!

Don’t have pumpkin pie spice? Don’t worry! You can make your own in about 2 minutes with my Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice recipe.

Can I Double The Recipe

Yes, this makes enough for about 2 glasses, but you can definitely double, triple or even more this recipe. If you are serving this for a winter get together, you can even make it in the crockpot

How To Make Pumpkin Hot Chocolate In The Crockpot

If you want to make a big batch of this for a party, you can definitely use the crockpot. The added bonus is, it keeps it warm during your whole event! You simply want to 4 or 8x the ingredients listed below, depending on the size of your crockpot and the number of people you are serving.

  • Put milk, pumpkin puree, pie spice, sugar and vanilla extract into your slow cooker. Whisk all the ingredients together.
  • Chop your chocolate into small pieces and stir into the milk.
  • Set the slow cooker on low for about 2 hours or until the chocolate is completely melted and it is warmed through.
  • Set out mugs and then arrange some toppings; marshmallows, whipped cream, cinnamon and let people fix their own glass.

Trying this now! I don't have a sieve so, I'll just use a strainer. I'm sure it'll taste delicious! I'm so excited, especially since it's almost Thanksgiving!
