Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie – An easy and refreshing smoothie you can make in just minutes. A homemade version of the Jamba Juice Aloha Smoothie that is perfect for snacking or breakfast.
Smoothies can be in one of two camps. Super healthy and trying to get all the nutrients in that you can. Or they can just be delicious! This Copycat Jamba Juice Aloha Smoothie is in the second camp. And honestly the only camp I want to be part of. Even if you add “healthy” mix-ins, you can’t sacrifice on flavor!

I haven’t lived in a city with a Jamba Juice in years, but I always loved going in to try their different combinations. This Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie is definitely one of my favorites that I used to get back in the day, on my break at JCPenney in the mall.
This homemade version is super simple because you use frozen fruit and then just need to add pineapple juice and yogurt to make it come together. And if you want to throw in some healthy mix-ins, go for it!

I like to use frozen fruit so that I don’t have to use ice. But if you don’t have frozen fruit, just add in a cup of ice when you blend it.
- Frozen Strawberries
- Frozen Pineapple
- Frozen Banana
- Pineapple Juice – You can use orange juice, water, or even milk if you want
- Vanilla Yogurt – Greek or regular yogurt is fine. You just want something to make it a little creamy.

How to Make Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie
- It is best to do in a high powered blender if you are using frozen fruit, so it can blend it nice and smooth. Really just add everything to the blend and blend until it is creamy and done.
- If you don’t have frozen fruit, add 1 cup of ice cubes to get it to the right consistency.
- If you need to add more liquid to get it to come together you can, just add a little bit at a time, so it doesn’t get too runny.
Smoothie Add-In’s
This is where you can get creative with whatever nutrients you want to add.
- Handful of Spinach
- Vanilla Protein Powder – could even use a fruit flavored one
- Ground Flax Seed
- Half an Avocado
- Hemp Hearts
- Chia Seeds

The nice thing about smoothies like this is they come together in 5 minutes. You really just put all the ingredients into a blender and let it go. So it is great to make for an after school snack or mid afternoon pick me up. With all the different add in ideas you can make it even more filling and nutrient dense, without anyone ever knowing!
Recipe Tips & Tricks
- Make your own frozen fruit. Whenever we have fruit that is on its last leg, I clean it up and put add it to a freezer safe bag in the freezer. I peel the bananas and break them in half, then stash them in a bag. So whenever you need frozen fruit for anything, you have some on hand, and don’t always have to buy bags of frozen fruit at the store.
- Powerful blender. You will need a powerful blender to blend all of the frozen fruit and get this is a nice and smooth consistency. Even with a high powered blender, it can take a minute or two.
- Mix-Ins. Get creative, and mix up what you add to your smoothies. Not everyone needs the bump in protein, so it is optional if you want to add protein powder.
- Fresh Fruit. If all you have is fresh fruit on hand, that is not a problem! Just add about 1 cup of ice to the blender, so you get it nice and cold and creamy.

I love a good smoothie!! This flavor combo sounds great. Way to go with the wheat germ! 🙂
Brilliant to freeze your own pineapple. I’m not much of a smoothie drinker but I am a huge fat free Greek yogurt fan (one every day!) and that along with the flavors here sounds fabulous!
What a delicious way to start the day! A beautiful smoothie!
I love smoothie breakfasts…especially when the weather is warmer! My go-to is always frozen bananas, but a frozen pineapple sounds like an awesome way to change up the regular routine 🙂
What a great breakfast or light lunch! I cant wait till it warms up and I can do smoothies for breakfast again!
I love the combination of this smoothies! I should drink this instead of eating snacks or desserts huh… it makes more sense – delicious, sweet enough, and healthy!
This looks like a very delicious breakfast. I always put extras like wheat germ or rolled oats for the fiber. Love that it is pink – so pretty!
Tasty recipe! Keep trying with the Greek yogurt – they all taste a little different 😉
Nom nom nom. I use protein powder in my smoothies but I love the taste of greek yogurt (if my stomach could handle it). This looks delish!
We love smoothies! When we don’t make them at home we often go to Smoothie King and grab one for lunch. Usually during the summer time as we head over to the pool we grab one to help us cool off. That way we don’t have to wait 30 minutes before swimming because we technically didn’t really eat. We slurped and swallowed. 🙂 Have a great weekend!
