Monster Juice – a kid friendly drink just in time for Halloween. Use Popsicles to make it fun and festive!
Halloween is all about the kids! And this fun Monster Juice is a fun thing you can make for the kids when you are carving pumpkins or use at a school party! Each kid can pick their color and it is just fun for them to decorate and make “gross” and “scary”
This Witches Brew is another fun on you can make, and there are even a couple adult options for that one!
This is one of those recipes that is barely a recipe. It is more of a method that you can use whatever your favorite ingredients are. But the idea is super fun and kids go crazy for it!
What You’ll Need
- Popsicles – as they melt they color the drink
- Sprite, Ginger Ale, or Lemonade – you just want a clear are super light colored drink of any kind, so that you can get the color from the popsicles
- Gummy worms, candy eyes, and whatever other fun add-ins you can find
- Food Coloring – this is option, but if the color isn’t dark enough when you add your popsicles, you can mix in a couple drops of food coloring.
How To Make Monster Juice
- Put popsicles into a couple of glasses.
- Pour in your drink
- As the popsicles start to melt they will color the drink. Add food coloring if you want a darker color immediately.
- Add in your favorite candies to decorate.
Gummy worms and candy eyes make for fun decorations to really make the monster juice come to life. This year popsicle came out with a bunch of fun new varieties including Tropical Paradise flavors, Sugar Free Red Classics, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™. So you can flavor your drink and give it any look you like! Perfect to have while you are caving pumpkins and getting ready for the holiday.
I can see making this for a kids Halloween party at school. Use clear plastic cups, and let the kids pick their color and how they want to decorate. Have gummy worms, sour gummies, gummy fish, candy eyes and anything else you can think of. It would definitely be the talk of the school!
I used sprite for my Halloween drink, but you can really use any clear drink you like. I think even apple juice would work. As the popsicles melt it chills the drink and gives it a fun color. To make a grown up version I would use a slightly fruity white wine. Popsicle has been around since 1905. It is a classic that both parents and children love! Make your Halloween more fun this year, and use Popsicles to help celebrate!
