Nutella Mousse – Creamy Nutella mousse is rich, decadent, and just 5 ingredients! No baking required and easy to prep ahead.
Now here’s a dessert that feels special without turning your kitchen upside down. Nutella Mousse is creamy, light, and rich. The mouthwatering mousse comes together in minutes. You can serve it in small glasses, which makes them feel fancy even though the process is very low-stress.

I love desserts like this because they’re easy to prep ahead and don’t require baking or perfect timing. If you need a nut-free option, you can swap in my Chocolate Mousse and build the cups the same way.
These are great for dinner parties, holidays, or nights when you want something sweet waiting in the fridge. They look impressive, taste indulgent, and somehow they only take minutes to make!

How To Make Nutella Mousse
- Mix Chocolate. Using an electric mixer beat together the cream cheese and Nutella until it is well combined and smooth. It will be thick, but you want all of the cream cheese blended.
- Make Whipped Cream. Beat the heavy cream in an electric mixer on high until you have stiff peaks. Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Fold Together. Add the whipped cream to the chocolate mixture and gently fold together until nice and smooth.
- Chill. Divide the mixture into your serving glasses and chill until ready to serve.

Recipe Tips & Tricks
- Soften the Cream Cheese – Let it sit at room temperature so the mousse blends smoothly without lumps.
- Fold the Whipped Cream Gently – Folding, not stirring, keeps the mousse light and airy instead of dense.
- Taste Before Filling – Give the mousse a quick taste so you can adjust sweetness if needed before assembling.
- Whip to Stiff Peaks – The whipped cream should hold firm peaks that stand up when you lift the whisk, so it sits cleanly on top instead of sinking into the mousse.
- Chill Before Serving – A short rest in the fridge helps the layers set and makes the cups easier to serve.
- Homemade – Swap the store bought Nutella for Homemade Nutella for an over the top alternative!

The mousse should be smooth, fluffy, and evenly colored with no streaks of whipped cream remaining.
Stored covered, they will keep well for up to three days in the refrigerator.
To make this even easier, you can swap an 8 oz container of whipped topping in place of the homemade whipped cream in this recipe.
