Cheesy Green Olive Pinwheels

These Cheesy Green Olive Pinwheels make for a super easy appetizer that will work for any get together.  A creamy cheese filling, rolled in crescent dough and baked!  Great to make ahead and have ready!

When you are hosting a party or any type of get together you want the appetizers to shine and win everyone over. That is where these pinwheels come in. Often times you see a cold version, like these Pinwheel Sandwiches or like these Ham & Cheese Roll Ups. But when you can get a buttery crust and a cheesy, salty filling like these, they are a must make for sure!

If you have tried my Cheddar Green Olive Dip, this is pretty much that dip, rolled up in crescent rolls. So you can make a double batch of the dip and have a hot and cold appetizer!

Why You’ll Love These Green Olive Pinwheels

  • Easy – they are super easy to make, just a handful of ingredients and you have a show stopping appetizer ready for any get together.
  • Crowd Pleasing – people either love or hate green olives, you can definitely swap them out for something else, but your green olive fans are going to go crazy for this! Bacon would be a delicious swap!
  • Make Ahead – these pinwheels are great to have the filling ready the day before, and then just roll and bake when you are ready for to serve.

What Can I Use Instead Of Crescent Rolls

Crescent dough is a somewhat regional thing, so it isn’t available all over the world. You could use puff pastry or you could try your hand at making your own Crescent Rolls.

How To Store Leftover Crescent Pinwheels

You will want to store these covered in an airtight container in the fridge. They should last for 3-4 days. They will reheat pretty well in the oven or you can microwave them, they will just not be as crispy as they were fresh.
