Bacon Cheeseburger Dip – all the flavor of your favorite bacon cheeseburger in an ooey, gooey, cheesy, dip. Great for game day, entertaining or just because!
Appetizers are one of my favorite things to bring to parties and plan what to make. Baked Mexican Cheese Dip is pretty much a staple in our house, as my husband grew up with it and we still make it all the time. But sometimes you want to mix it up a little.
Whenever we go to a certain friends’ house and he asks us to bring chips and a dip, I always make Cheesy Corn Dip. It is a favorite by so many, and requested all the time. This cheeseburger dip is a close 2nd though, and so easy to make.
How to make Cheeseburger Dip
You can make this dip in the crock pot or in the oven, both work. It just depends if you want to make it ahead of time or just serve it right away. Either way, you start by browning ground beef. You can uses real bacon and you cook and crumble or those precooked slices work too. Just don’t use those jarred bacon pieces you find on the salad aisle. You want to use real chunks of bacon.
After the beef and bacon are ready just mix everything together! At this point you can put in the crock pot for a couple hours until hot and bubbly, or put in the oven for about 20 minutes until the cheese is completely melted. I like it served with Fritos scoops so you can get lots of dip in each bite. But tortilla chips, crackers or just about anything works. Comes together very similar to Hot Sausage Dip that is also a big hit.
Bacon cheeseburger dip can be put in the crock pot to be kept warm, or you can heat it in the oven to enjoy right away. I think I have made this dip at least 3 times in the last couple months, my family just goes crazy for it. Perfect for game day or just about any party! You get all the flavor of a bacon cheeseburger, but in dip form!
