Easy Refried Bean Dip – this easy bean dip is super creamy, cheesy, and full of taco flavors. This is always a hit at parties, and great for taco night.
There is a restaurant near by where we live that serves bean dip along the salsa when you sit down. My family loves it. The guys devour it and are always wanting more. We are big fans of Mexican food. Weekends often involve Sour Cream Enchiladas or maybe going out to try a new place.
Homemade guacamole is a staple pretty much any day of the week at our house. And this bean dip reminds us of a favorite restaurant, so I am super excited to finally share the recipe with you.

Taco night at our house often means Mexican Rice is made to go with it. Or Homemade Refried Beans are on the menu. But sometimes I like to mix it up. And this bean dip recipe is so easy to make and is super creamy and perfect anytime. I like to have it in the crock pot as well for parties. Everyone loves how creamy and cheesy it is, and it always disappears in no time!
What is Bean Dip
It usually starts with a can of refried beans that you mix with cream cheese. From there you can add other ingredients and flavor it differently. My family likes it spicy, so I add jalapenos to ours. And to make it extra creamy and delicious lots of cheese is mixed it. It gets all melty and delicious that you just can’t stop eating it!
What’s In Refried Bean Dip
- Refried Beans
- Cream Cheese
- Salsa
- Taco Seasoning
- Jalapeno
- Cheddar Cheese

How to Make Bean Dip
This is such an easy recipe to make, it is quickly going to become a staple in your life!
- Put a saucepan over medium low heat and add refried beans and cream cheese. Mix it together until it is nice and smooth.
- Next pour in the salsa, taco seasoning, and jalapenos and stir until it is well combined. You want the dip to be smooth and creamy.
- As the dip warms through add in the cheddar cheese and let it melt, stirring to combine.
- Let the dip sit over medium low heat for 10 minutes to let all the flavors blend. You just want to stir often so it don’t want it to stick to the bottom of the pan.

Can you Make Bean Dip Ahead of Time
Yes, you definitely can. You can stir all of the ingredients together in a bowl and then just store in the fridge until you are ready to make the dip. Then you can bake in the oven, put in the crock pot, heat on the stove top or even microwave to warm the dip and get everything smooth and creamy. If you have any leftovers, thi is how you would reheat those as well. When I am serving for a party I like to assemble in the morning and then put in the crock pot on low a few hours before guests arrive. Then it stays warm the whole time.
If you love Mexican flavors like we do, this refried bean dip is a must make. It would go really well with this Southwest Baked Chicken for a quick and easy weeknight dinner idea.
