It is the season of all the parties, get togethers, cookie exchanges, reunions, and everything else that involves food and drinks! It seems like every day a new invite for something comes up. And as much as I love it, it can get stressful sometimes too.
Today I am going to share with you some tips to make your holidays a little less stressful and still throw a killer party!
The first thing to do is take a little help from the store. We have all seen those elaborate meat and cheese boards on social media. They are gorgeous, but man are they intimidating. Having to buy 8 different kinds of cheese, 4 meats, all the crunchy things, and then arrange it so it is Pinterest worthy. I don’t know about you, but that is too much work and stress for me.
I found these NEW Hillshire® Snacking Social Platters at my Albertsons store and they are exactly what I need. This one has genoa salame and prosciutto along with white cheddar cheese, garlic & herb toasted rounds and dark chocolate. Everything in a meat and cheese board I need, all done for me! Plus I don’t have crazy amounts of leftovers that will just get thrown away
The thing I like to do when having a get together is to really make it easy. I pick 1 or 2 things that I will do from scratch or put time and work into. The rest I use shortcuts, store bought, or ask for help. I can make a gorgeous Prime Rib for the centerpiece and then just use a bag of salad mix or a loaf of artisan bread from the store. Put your effort where it really matters! And never be afraid to ask for help. you know your guests will be more than willing to bring something to the party or be put to work when they get there.
Think about it. When you go to someone’s house, would you be offended if they asked you to bring dessert? Not a chance! You are happy they are having you over, and are more than willing to contribute.
And one easy thing I like to do is have 1 drink you can serve to everyone. Here I am making cranberry mimosas, because they are fun, festive, easy, and everyone loves them! Then you can open a bottle of red and white wine, and you are done! People can pick which they want, you have something special the occasion, and you didn’t have to do a ton of work.
These Cranberry Mimosas are super simple to make. Literally just cranberry juice and sparkling wine (21+ only). I garnished with fresh cranberries to make it festive, so technically 3 ingredients. Just fill a glass about half full with cranberry juice and top with sparkling wine. They would be great for sipping on while you are snacking on your social platter and enjoying time with your guests.
So take the stress off this holiday season and pick up these Hillshire Social Platters. The meat and cheese are high quality and delicious and the crackers are down right addicting. Enjoy more time with your family and friends, and less time in the kitchen stressing. Plus serve these Cranberry Mimosas alongside. It cannot get any easier!
I will be taking these Hillshire Snacking Social Platters to both of the cookie exchanges that I am going to this year, and I know I will go home empty handed. You can find these platters at your local Alberstons store in the refrigerated/deli section near the party platters. I found mine at my Safeway. And right now Just for U Albertsons coupon page has a coupon so you can save $2.00 on your purchase of the Hillshire Snacking Social Platter through 1/27/19.

Cranberry mimosas sound truly wonderful...maybe even at times other than the holidays too!
