Vodka Cranberry is a classic cocktail you can get at any restaurant or bar. Now make it at home with these easy recipe!

Do you have a go to cocktail you order when you go out to dinner or to a bar?  I usually just order a glass of red wine or a beer because I don’t know what to order.  Or maybe a classic margarita if I am going out for Mexican food.

When I was in Sioux Falls learning about all things pork (check out the Smothered Pork Chops to learn more), we went out for a drink one night.  Cristen from Food and Swine convinced me to try her vodka and cranberry with a twist. And I fell in love.

Cranberry Vodka Cocktail is another favorite, because I am all about any kind of fizzy drink. So I will add sprite or ginger ale to just about anything!

If you have cranberry juice around you can also check out the Holiday Wine Spritzer. Another fun drink that you can make to use up the juice. Because drinking cranberry juice by itself doesn’t sound that great. Or a Cranberry Mojito is another yummy cocktail to make.

Vodka Cranberry - a classic cocktail made at home!

Vodka Cranberry is almost always served with a lime. Some people like to go heavy on the lime and make it more tart, some like to go light and make it a little sweeter. That is the nice thing about making it at home, you can use as much or as little as you like.

And did you know this drink also goes by another name? A Cape Cod Drink is made of cranberry juice, vodka, and sometimes a squeeze of lime. I had no idea! But if you want to sound fancy, order it that way next time you are out.

If you are having a party, this is great to serve by the pitcher. It is a basic ratio of 5 oz cranberry juice to 1 oz vodka with a wedge of lime. Just pour into a pitcher of ice and serve with a bowl of lime wedges on the side.

Vodka and Cranberry is a super simple cocktail you can make any night of the week.

So next time instead of just picking up a bottle of wine because you don’t know what else to do, make a vodka and cranberry at home. Super easy and ready seconds.

Put the label of Cape Cod Drink on it for your friends, and they will think they are drinking something fun and new!
