Sex on the Beach Drink

Sex on the Beach Drink – the classic beach cocktail with cranberry juice, orange juice, vodka, and peach schnapps.  Feel like you are on vacation with these easy to make drink.

Everyone knows what this drink is because of the name.  But do you actually know what is in it?  It is more than just a funny name, it is a refreshing and fun cocktail you can have with just 4 ingredients!  A few drinks come to mind when I think of vacation; this is one of them, and a Mai Tai is for sure another one.  

Well today I am here to share with you the classic sex on the beach drink recipe.  You can rename it if you want, you can call it what it is.  I really don’t care, it is just delicious and you are going to want to make it right away.  

 

So the basics…

Sex on the Beach Drink Ingredients

• Cranberry juice
• Orange juice
• Vodka
• Peach Schnapps

How to Make a Sex on the Beach Drink

This is such a simple cocktail to make!  There are just 4 ingredients that you have to mix together and serve over ice, because it does need to be nice and cold. 

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add all of the ingredients.
3. Put the lid on and shake well. Once the outside of the shaker is very cold you can pour over a glass of ice.

I like to use a martini shaker that is filled with ice and just shake everything together.  This ensures that it gets super cold and also everything is well blended.  Nothing worse that sipping on a drink and having all the vodka sitting at the bottom. 

I am kind of on a roll with recreating classic cocktails lately.  I recently posted a Tequila Sunrise and it has become popular very quickly.  And why not, it is super pretty with the layers and so refreshing.  But I think one of my favorites has to be the Long Island Iced Tea.  You think of it as the drink you had in college, but it needs to be brought back. It is so tasty!

Ingredients

• 2 oz Cranberry juice
• 2 oz Orange juice
• 2 oz Vodka
• 1 oz Peach Schnapps

Instructions

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add all of the ingredients and shake until cold
3. Pour in a glass over nice.
4. Garnish with orange slices if desired
