This Chick-Fil-A Frosted Lemonade is a copycat of the famous fast food chain. It is a cross between a milkshake and lemonade, that is refreshing and absolutely delicious! If you have never tried one, it is definitely time to change that.

You guys know I LOVE a good copycat recipe. I will try anything from drinks, to main dishes, sides….you name it! But getting to make your favorites at home, sometimes a little healthier, almost always cheaper, and exactly the quality of ingredients you l likes is a win every day in my book.

If you have never tried the Frosted Lemonade at Chick-Fil-A it is a sweet, slightly tart almost milkshake. It is a little thinner than a milkshake, but it is so refreshing and delicious and exactly what you need on a hot day!

What Is Frosted Lemonade

It is really a cross between lemonade and a milkshake. It is made with vanilla ice cream and then you add either homemade lemonade (lemon juice and sugar) or your favorite prepared lemonade to it. It all gets blended together into a thick, creamy, sweet, tart, and absolutely refreshing drink.

What You’ll Need

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for the FULL PRINTABLE recipe card.

  • Vanilla Ice Cream – whatever brand you like will work great
  • Lemon Juice
  • Sugar
  • Water

You are basically making a quick lemonade with fresh lemon juice and sugar. You could definitely use a prepared lemonade in place of it if you had some on hand.

How To Make Frosted Lemonade

  • Lemonade. If you are making your own lemonade just mix together the lemon juice and sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Mix in cold water and stir to combined. This Fresh Squeezed Lemonade is basically what you are making.
  • Blend. Add the ice cream and lemonade to a blender and process until smooth. If the ice cream is very thick you may need to add a little more liquid to thin it out.
  • Serve. Pour in a tall glass with a straw or it is thick enough you could enjoy with a spoon.

Serving Suggestions

This makes a great summer dessert to just about any meal! You will want to serve it immediately, it isn’t something you can really make ahead. If you do end up with leftovers, you can freeze it, but to serve you will need to let it partially thaw and then reblend to get it to the same consistency. That being said, you could freeze and eat the leftovers with a spoon like ice cream.

This is thin enough you can definitely drink through a straw, but just thick enough you can use a spoon if you wanted to. Pour into a tall glass with a slice of lemon for a great treat for a party or just because.

Can I Make It Boozy

Absolutely! Vodka Lemonade is one of my favorite summer cocktails. Super simple but refreshing and delicious. You can most definitely add vodka to this for an adult only version.
