If there’s one thing we can’t get enough of around here, it’s bacon and ranch dressing. Whether I’m putting it on pizza, into pasta, or mixing up my cheddar bacon ranch dip, that smoky and zesty combination is a family favorite. So, it’s no wonder these chicken bacon ranch sliders were an instant hit! They’re super quick to make, and just when I thought I couldn’t love an appetizer more than my ham and cheese sliders, these chicken sliders stole the show.
Why You’ll Love These Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders
- Packed with flavor. You won’t believe the flavor in these bacon ranch chicken sliders! It’s a bit like spreading creamy crack chicken between sweet, fluffy Hawaiian rolls. These sliders are zesty, savory, and cheesy. So good!
- Quick to make. It takes 5 minutes to prep these sliders for the oven, and 20 minutes to bake. Chicken sliders are perfect for last-minute get-togethers, parties, and quick weeknight dinners. You can even assemble them in the baking dish the night before.
- Eat them with anything. These chicken bacon ranch sliders are so versatile! They pair wonderfully with loads of sides. We love them served with everything from a side salad to potato wedges. I include more serving suggestions later on.
Ingredients You’ll Need
These easy bacon ranch chicken sliders need only a handful of ingredients (most of them are in the name!). Below are some quick notes. Scroll down to the recipe card for a printable list with the full amounts.
- Slider Buns – My favorite is King’s Hawaiian rolls. You can use any brand of slider or small sandwich rolls you prefer. Even hamburger buns will work.
- Ranch Dressing – You can use your favorite store-bought ranch dressing. Or, try making homemade ranch dressing from ranch dressing mix if you have time.
- Chicken – You’ll need cooked, shredded chicken. I like to make these sliders with leftover chicken, or I’ll make a batch of air fryer chicken breasts. You can also buy and shred a rotisserie chicken from the store.
- Bacon – Cooked and crumbled. Cooking bacon in the air fryer is also quick and easy.
- Cheddar Cheese – Or any sliced cheese you’d like. I like sharp cheddar, but other good options are Colby Jack, Monterey Jack, Swiss, or Gouda.
How to Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders
Here’s what you can expect from this easy sliders recipe. Fair warning: You’ll want to make these all the time! Check out the steps below, and scroll to the recipe card for printable instructions.
- Cut the slider rolls. Use a serrated knife to cut the attached rolls in half horizontally, and place the bottom slab of rolls into a 9×13” baking dish.
- Mix the chicken filling. Next, toss shredded chicken with crumbled bacon and ranch dressing until well combined.
- Assemble the sliders. Arrange the cheese slices over the bottom rolls. Spread the bacon ranch chicken over the cheese, then cover with the top rolls. Brush the top of the rolls with additional ranch dressing.
- Bake. These sliders go into the oven at 350ºF for 15-20 minutes. Once they’re warmed through and melty, take them out and serve!
Tips and Variations
- If the buns are browning too quickly, lightly cover the baking dish with foil while the sliders finish baking.
- Add the bacon separately. If you’d prefer strips of bacon rather than crumbled bacon, simply break the slices in half and place them over the dressed chicken instead.
- Make it smoky. If you’d prefer another layer of flavor, try shredding smoked chicken breast.
- Use another protein. You can swap the shredded chicken in this recipe with shredded turkey breast, pulled pork, or even shredded beef.
Serving Suggestions
Sliders make an easy dinner, appetizer, or snack– really, any occasion! Serve these sliders with a tossed salad, classic potato salad, or fruit salad, and more easy sides like homemade tortilla chips and crudités with boat dip. They’re also perfect for football parties! I’ll serve them next to a big bowl of cheese Chex Mix with more favorites like crispy potato skins and Buffalo dip.
Can I Make These Ahead?
If I know I have a full day of entertaining, I’ll assemble these sliders the day before and store them covered in the fridge. They’re ready to bake the next day! Simply uncover the baking dish, brush the tops of the sliders with ranch, and bake as directed. If the top is browning quickly (this sometimes happens when baking cold from the fridge), cover the sliders with foil.
Storing and Reheating Leftovers
- Refrigerate. Store the leftover sliders airtight in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Reheat. I find that the best way to reheat these chicken sliders is in the oven under foil. Warm them at 350ºF until the cheese has melted and the chicken is heated through.
